shoot.. they replaced with a 6100 series mobo. maybe u can give them a call and ask for a 6000 mobo. did you check the BIOS if got option to change to fixed switching?

Check your bios firmware. Maybe it's still the old version. Update it to F1.A in order to have fixed switching. Check out the first page for more info.

When running the Windows performance toolkit to optimize boot time, every boot requires the admin elevation, is there anyway to automate this? If not I'll have to click "Ok" every time it boots.

11.11a was stable, but when i checked its performance in NBA 2k and Batman, DX9 - it was at least 10 frames decrease. That's pretty big. I don't know why, maybe because my install wasn't clean ENOUGH, haha. How is 11.11a with you, Acid? Performance based? Maybe i should try it again

Didn't try 11.11 much.. i'm on leaked driver v8.930.

Having a problem now where my display won't turn off eventhough i've set it to turn off after 1 min.

USB 3.0 doesn't work on my dv6, any ideas? Is it caused by the disabling of IAStorage at startup? I didn't disable NUSB3.0 though..

IAStor are not related at all. By "doesn't work" u mean nothing u plugged in there working or you didn't get the USB 3.0 speed that you're expecting?

Do you have USB 3.0 in your device manager?

Oh okay. I meant my USB 3.0 hard drive didn't work at 3.0 speeds. It used to work at 3.0 though. Not sure what is causing this.

EDIT: Yes, my device manager shows the same thing as yours.

Not very sure, but the pop up notified that higher speeds can be attained.

Hey, n55sf seems to be a tad more stable compared to dv6, better cooling, i would say. but the big ass Asus logo, and the huge b & o speakers are a bit annoying. Looks rather cheap compared to dv6. Plus, no numpad.

dv6 can get from mobility square sdn bhd (lowyat 4th floor i think) for rm2799 with free 3 years warranty, 8gigs ram, and all the extra freebies like mouse, headset (not beats, of course), notebook cooler, etc.

1 thing to note is, i had to deal twice this month with HP service center (HP towers damansara) due to problems with both my dv6s (1 fan noise, another one graphics card burnt), but in both cases, warranty service was superb, got it back the day after i sent it in (not to mention free parking at hp towers). So, kudos to HP service center (i wont say the same for hp support though, but u get awesome hp support from this lowyat thread already, so, oh well).
