Hi, my question would be, should a depressed people stay alone and try to cut any connection with other people or should they reach for anyone to get help regrading depression? Aside from getting help from a professional like psychiatrist or something. What if you feel like a burden to anyone when you try to find some helping hands who will support you in the process of recovery, maybe?

Cause its like with all the problems and issues you have with depression, no one understand you, not even your family member. What more from friends. They might feel irritated and the least thing that they could do is just hope youre okay and the next day like they forget about it cause there's more stuffs they need to take care of than your depression.

And you feel that as if youre gonna make things more depressing and complicated when you try to reach for family members and friends. You feel vulnerable and fragile that even a tiny and small stuff can lead to a more depression.

So, should they try to find support aside from the professional or should they just cut all the connection with other human being? Because of fear.

Thoughts?

I see. But what if they do feel like you but at the same time they feel lonely too? Wouldnt it lead to more depression? Do you feel lonely when this happen?

This is hard for me too..but i do keep myself surrounded by people. sometimes i find them annoying and just want to be alone, but then when alone for a few hours, i feel lonely and want to meet some people again..it's just hard, when you can't control your thinking when you know you're thinking too much..sometime cannot sleep, sometime lost concentration on work..it's a mess..i also dunno what to do..

When you acknowledged that you have depression that is a good sign. Go seek medical help and take the prescribed medicine without fail; the doctor will slowly wean you off it.

Depressed people need friends and people to talk to; don't shun people with depression or ask them to 'snap out of it!' cos it won't work.

If TS is suffering from depression go get medical help.

imo, i think it differs between each people. each got their own anti depression remedies.

some prefer to be alone, while some enjoy other people company. its subjective really.
its just the matter of how you handle it.
