QUOTE(james83 @ Sep 28 2006, 07:54 PM) i have a feeling that Stargazer Gundam will be destroyed in the 3rd installment.. else if it's 'that' great it could have been used in the war in later GSD.. destroyed? duh... that'll be a waste...i think it'll just fly off to the distant space, kinda like symbolises the hope of humanity in search of an eternal eden... something like that. maybe it'll end up like Event Horizon and turn evil, and kill everyone with SUPER DOUGHNUT CANNON!! meh... mobiusone: thanks... but i only found RAW version from the site leh?? mobiusone: thanks... downloading Zeta III now...
Just watched SG3... It's ironic that after much criticism due to the horrible production of GSD, a 3 episode OVA proves to be miles better than a full 50-episode anime. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Having said all this, will there be a manga series to further elaborate the story? In one way I hope it will, because I would like to see more of Selene and Sven. Sven's character was intricately elaborated and developed in 2 episodes, much more than any character in GSD Conclusion? 3 episodes of SG is already better than 50 episodes of Gundam Seed Power Ranger. Fukuda and his team of producers should be ashamed. |

QUOTE(mobiusone @ Oct 2 2006, 08:47 PM) true... but then the golden bling bling was still on if I'm not mistaken, so I presumed that the power supply is still adequate. Maybe it is more important to bling bling even when batt is low?? Or maybe I remembered wrongly... will check the anime again.edit: checked again... and it seems that SG indeed ran out of juice. But then, it can still withstand the impact of the laser while grabbing Noir. Hm... this part is weird. A battleship was disintegrated by the laser, while 2 MSes aren't? I think it might be due to SG's shields or doughnut, since when the laser hit them, there was some sort of scattering of the laser beam.. But then it might be plot armor? I know that the 669 hours mean that they probably used up their supply of O2. But then again, if Sunrise wants them to live, they WILL live... After all, how many times did Kira not die when he is supposed to? Same goes with Mwu, even Heero Yuy. If they wanted Sven and Selene to live, they would come up with some excuse. For example, maybe Stargazer's AI awakened and realised that both of them are dying, so it turned the air con to full blast and cryo-ed them... freezed them into popsicles. I like character deaths, only if they died for a reason. Letting Sven and Selene die in this way is mellow, good for making gloomy atmosphere, but for no reason (except to end the story of course). Space whale... Indeed it didn't appear. It didn't get mentioned in GSD either, although it was elaborated in GS with the history of George Glenn. That's why I felt that it would be a nice touch had they included some glimpses of flying space whales at the end. At least it would serve as a reminder of deep space exploration, reflecting on what Glenn found on his journey into the vast galaxy. QUOTE(epsilon_chinwk86 @ Oct 2 2006, 09:36 PM) gay... haha.... i dont think there can be 50 eps of deep space exploration... 10 episodes will suffice, like those short series. Anyway, BANDAI achieved its target with this series. Models are being released, and the response is decent. I prefer to see the series as a successful move by Sunrise to regain viewers' confidence in CE, after what Fukuda and co. did to the wonderful franchise of gundam. It should serve as a warning to Sunrise that they should never ever let Fukuda and co. touch any gundam series. Again. If he does, we'll have this (gotten from animesuki) ![]() T_T This post has been edited by StarGhazzer: Oct 3 2006, 04:21 PM |

Finished Zeta III...
After watching all 3 movies, I am really exhausted (yet enjoyed) from all the conflicts in the show. Although I must say the 3 movies are still too short and inadequate to thoroughly elaborate each and every one of them, and there are quite a lot of issues which I am still not very clear. The complexity of the political issues and character conflicts dwarf GSD, which had a potential great story that was ruined by the inteference of Lacus and co. The movie's relatively short time (compared to a full 50 eps) fails to elaborate on several characters, especially Kamille. Even though I have not seen the original series, I do know that Kamille is a hot-headed angsty teen, but the movie seldoms shows his emotional conflicts and outbursts. Even when his parents were killed in front of his eyes, his feelings and grief was much less compared to Usso, or even Shinn. I would like to think that it was due to time constraint that Kamille's bereavement was left out. In addition, Kamille as a main character didn't get as much attention as the other characters, eg Char. In the movie, Kamille seemed like just another kid drawn into war, where the story and setting doesn't revolve much around him. In fact, the two baddies Haman and Scirocco were more eye-catching than Kamille. And Haman was really a bad ass antagonist, cold, mean, manipulative, and skillful. Scirocco was a decent madman too, he would have been better had he not looked so girlish and acted like a flirt. Somehow UC characters, esp main ones, tend to be chick magnets... Scirocco had Sarah and Recoa falling for him, Char in CCA flirted with a sexy mature chick and a precocious teen (!!), Usso had his share of breast treats Action was top notch, as the 3rd movie was all blazing with battles. But again, I suppose time constraint affected the duels as well. Recoa and Emma's duel was settled within one sabre clash, I'd love to see more cat-fights involving chopping of both their mechas' limbs, heads, legs... Hyaku Shiki was too inferior to battle the appalling Quebeley, and in fact Hyaku got chopped up real badly by The O before engaging Haman. Final battle btw Kamille and Scirocco would be better if there were more debate and arguments about both pilots' polarizing opinions, like when Kamille exchanged mind power with Haman. Deaths... Zeta was infamous with the amount of deaths, but somehow the movie made the deaths appear less frequent. Less emphasis on the deaths perhaps, as the less important characters would just blow up and vanish. Recoa's, Emma's and even Henke's deaths were somehow inevitable, because comrades of the main character usually have to die, with the exception of Mighty Morphin' Power Kira. Although I must say Emma's death was unnecessary. Kamille should have gotten his cerebrum fried by Scirocco, and the happy ending with Fa left a bad taste in my mouth. I didn't like the pairing of Kamille and Fa, it was one-sided with Fa being lovey-dovey and Kamille not giving a damn. Kamille was more obsessed with Four, which had a poor death. The original one where she died with Psycho Gundam was better, that would have made an impact with Kamille's character, making him more angsty. I guess the altered story does explain why Kamille's wrath was missing. Lastly, after watching several UC series, I noticed that newtypes are similar to Star War's Jedis. There is only a thin fine line between the bright side and the dark, one brief lapse of evil thought and you're stuck deep in hell. Like Quess, like Recoa... even Katejina, all of them went to the dark side within seconds. And newtypes rely too much on their feelings in battle. Instead of following plans and orders, they often let emotions run wild and take control. Of course, since UC focuses on newtypes, most of the time their acts result in victory, for protagonists that is. Anyway, I must say I enjoyed the movies very much, although they doesn't really do justice to the full length series. Now I still have F91 to watch haha... After this no more time for full 50 episode series... yet I still want to watch Turn A.... |

Yeah man... Just finished F91... superb superb SUPERB....
I especially love the background music, which was always a dark gloomy marching tune, like Star Wars... In fact the entire Cosmo Babylon organisation is reminiscent of Star Wars' dark empire... with Iron Mask equalling to Darth Vader. Too bad Laffresia was KOed so easily... would have love to see that piece of WMD thrash some colonies... meanwhile, These are Astrays... and this is not. ^ if only ZAFT's ZAKU wasn't that much of a cannon fodder, I'd like it more. The design is quite decent, although it is clearly a rip-off from the original zaku II.
ZAFT cannot make mono-eyed gundams... coz that will not be called a gundam anymore. I want more Ginns... more Cgues.... let them pwn some gundams!! F91... top notch... and truely shows the cruelty of war. The first battle which lasted quite long was appalling, with citizens getting spoofed by crumbling buildings or stray gunfire. Brutal... absolute brutal. And seeing various suits get gunned down is better than CE's grunt-killing, where grunts hover stationary and get shot... use shields.. bodoh?! |

QUOTE(redeye84 @ Oct 15 2006, 03:22 PM) Lol backpacks, I want bigger backpacks!. Small backpacks are more practical. Which military machine carries gigantic feathers or angel wings? For aesthetic purposes or just to boost up the morale of friendly troops perhaps. For those Gundam Noobs, IN the UC esp the Rx-78 the Backups are really small. But in Seed "Mitsuo Fukuda" the MS backups are occupy half the MS size. |

QUOTE(redeye84 @ Oct 16 2006, 03:05 AM) Well 1 thing assure that Fukuda did admit the Seed is all about Mecha RECYCLED SCENES and not war/politics. There you go In the real world, a larger backpack will only make the mecha unstable. Having a large and heavy backpack will increase the height of the centre of gravity, hence a small knock at the lower limbs will send the mecha tumbling. I still prefer mid sized backpacks, instead of gigantic ones like Freedom's WZ's and even Saviour's oversized cannons. F91's VSBR is so much shorter and compact compared to Saviour and even Oowashi Akatsuki's bulky toys at the back. Sure, they look cool, but imagine the pissed off faces of the battleship mechanics when the whole backpack takes up all the space in the hangar. Even Destiny's WoL takes up much space compared to V2. And it is not any more powerful than the real thing. This post has been edited by StarGhazzer: Oct 16 2006, 12:10 PM |

Destroy... It looks freaking weird, but OMG it is one hell of a WMD !!
The MA mode is just for fun, after all, most MS in GSD can transform. Destroy's MA mode looks really like a chicken walker with a UFO stuck on his head. Too bad the WMD became YET another grunt that got chopped easily. If it appeared in the more realistic UC, a full platoon of 5, 6 Destroys would easily crush whatever enemies. Or at least put up a seriously good fight. Meanwhile, I LOL-ed once again... *plays Star Wars Theme* http://img.imageshack.us/my.php?image=stargundamrl0.jpg This post has been edited by StarGhazzer: Oct 17 2006, 10:33 AM |

^ All? Maybe the first 5 GAT-Xs... because they were all developed from the same unit, the Duel
But my favourite Seed mecha would still be the Aegis. It has badass written all over it, with the hidden chest cannon and the sotong mode. I wonder what will happen if Yzak got the Aegis instead of wishy washy Athrun. We would have seen Aegis chopping and dicing enemies with the 4 beam sabres, while grabbing their heads with the sotong mode and blasting them smithereens!! Total ownage. Freedom = meh... Yeah I know a lot of fans love the design of Freedom, but I don't. Maybe it's because the way it was portrayed... I just hate god-mode. By the way, I wonder why a lot of people say Justice is a melee unit. It doesn't have much melee weapons anyway. The original Justice, not IJ which looks like a hedgehog with spikes and sabres stuck all over it. Meh... UC designs are much more realistic... hail F91... hail V2!! Now where is that guy who mentioned V2 sucked? |

QUOTE(tan_pang @ Oct 18 2006, 03:24 PM) but i prefer Freedom more...and NOT strike Freedom when strike freedom 1st time appear i juz like... what the gold color represent for?? (althought it is juz in joint and the middle of the breast) it is not mirror coating like Akatsuki can reflect beam but seen like... i think the color didnt suit for a gundam that blue and white color... about the G-series gundam in seed... ya, it almost same of all except the Aegis only I don't hate Freedom, I just don't dig its design. I only hate Fukuda for making Freedom and its bling bling spawn into Gods. QUOTE(sharingan devil @ Oct 18 2006, 08:30 PM) just finished watching gundam X.... GX... Most people like it, but I think it was just a so-so anime. The concept was nice, but the pacing wasn't. There were too many episodes in the middle which made it look like a weekly power ranger show, where there would be a new baddie every episode, which will be taken down in that very same episode.any fans here? the series is hmm... what can I say, a lil bit like Eureka Seven. Boy meets Girl. Girl has mysterious power.... garrod is just like renton, and tiffa is eureka.... but what I really like about this story is the plot is simple, and the narrator helps to describe some phenomenon, which will not leave the viewer with much questions about the story background. and I love the 1st ED, HUMAN TOUCH I also didn't like Garrod as the main character. He just lacks the appeal and the charisma. I actually like Witz, especially after the episode which reveals his past and family background. |

^ Speaking of navy, it seems like most of the time the antagonists will have more naval based units...
Victory - the sea dragon like MA of BESPA Wing - Cancer, Pisces CE - Ash, Goohn, Zno UC - Acguy, Zgok... GX - erm... newtype dolphin? (meh... not antagonist)... the sea pirates' motorboat like MA where Enil piloted once... Not sure though... |

^ well, this shows how powerful the fanboys of SEED are
Never mind them. If they cannot respect opinions which are different from them, so be it. It's their loss. But seriously, do minovsky particles really exist in real life? From what I know, they are fictional UC stuff. Although credit must be given to those gundam writers for coming up with something that sounds so realistic. Pennywise: Tida Adil is from Gundam X... as for where to get it.... well, google the appropriate terms and you'll get what you want. IMO Tifa Adil is similar to Shakti of GV... but Shakti is more "human-like" while Tifa shows less emotions. This post has been edited by StarGhazzer: Oct 25 2006, 11:23 AM |

To wild and To naive Iam suprise Athrun stays with her. Not that not true, not true at all. We got Sayla, The down to earth hottie and Lunamaria (all pack and ready to go). ALso Christina Makenzie. and many many many more. destiny..? fanservice I think they was very little for the female chara... 1. Lunamaria bathing.. Damm the stalls are to big..I can barely see anything from there. 2. Lacus and Cagali hotsprings. Ok a little better than Luna one but... very short and brief. 3.Shinn spiritual meeting with Stellar ending,... Can barely see anything from Stellar but see alot of Shinn OMFG Is Destiny turning us to Fags?? 4. Revise ending OP Lacus in ribbon. Finally some real fan service Fully expose nudity with ribbon to conceal parts but kinda feel ruin cos of Kira behind her who is fully nude which only have her butt to conceal his bird. Ok i could go on.. but u get pretty much the same answer. only irony i have is Why we get very detail nudity on Kira,Athrun and Shinn. While very brief on the Girls. Fukuda knows he piss off the UC guy fans so make it up by pleasing the girls. The abundance of bath scenes in GSD is unnecessary... stupid fanservice for both fanboys and fangirls alike. Might as well use the time for more mecha battles... No... Fukuda would turn those into recycled scenes Lunamaria... hot at first... but later downgraded into brainless idiot, together with everyone else not abroad Archangel. Stellar was at most cute and innocent, nowhere near hot, but again made into a mindless screaming kid... Murrue was only present to show her swinging assets ever since from Seed. Cagalli was only hot because she wore tight red tops and wielded guns in Seed, but Destiny turned her into a cry baby Hottest... Noin... cool headed pilot... like Emma. Please Sunrise... no more precocious teens showing off nudity in shower scenes... Hot-ness is defined as being skilled in the cockpit of a 18m machine. |
