if i update through itunes for iOS 5, will my contacts, message, settings, etc etc gone?( clicking the update button, not the restore button)

hey guys, today around noon time 1pm i wanted to update my iphone. when itunes come out for the ios 5 update, i plan to download only and then later only update instead of pressing download and update button. when it starts download, it always download until some time around 200mb then it come out error -3259. about network time out. does anyone face this problem? i try a few times already TT
i guess it is the apple server there huh? too many ppl download?

yup. just let the phone backup (this may quite a long time depends on how many apps/things on ur iphone). and then it will install the OS. after that, it will restore ur backup/settings (also take quite some time depends on ur things). just done it today smoothly

maybe is because u insert it into different USB ports each time? it detect it as a new device.

hi everyone. not sure where is the right place to ask. just wondering does iphone 4 has other battery model that is stronger than the original one which is 1420mAH?
or the way to increase battery life of iphone 4 is to use battery pack?
