If your friend using MS Outlook, his notes should still be in his Outlook. Under itunes sync, scroll to the bottom n check sync notes n also check sync all notes from PC.

Means the new PC does not have Outlook hence u cannot click the check box. And when the check box is not 'checked' means you are not synching the calendar and notes thereby your iphone calendar and notes will be empty.

You need back the first PC to sync the outlook OR u need to transfer the first PC's Outlook data over to the new PC to be able to tick the sync checkbox, and will restore back the info in calendar n notes.

Sounds like connection problem, I dont think ipad spoil so easily. Probably just cable. Try to change the USB cable n try again. And if fail, try with another notebook / PC.

Sure, bringing it to apple store positive, they have the obligation to solve the problem. If its really ipad faulty, they will claim warranty for ya. What I worry is, they simply look at your device and say, ok faulty, send for warranty without detailed diagnostic. Then your friend is without ipad for like several weeks.

All I can say, is why not give it a last try by using a different computer and a different USB cable n try the full restore again. If fail again, then bring to Apple store edi.

Another thing to confirm, your friend's ipad has enough juice or not? Battery strength needs to be like 80% or above.

And if u are using desktop PC, use the USB port at the rear not the front. idevices requires high voltage USB ports. The front panel USB mostly low voltage ones which may be the culprit.

Added on October 13, 2011, 6:11 pmYup, very hard to brick the apple devices. The method u mention is the full restore. Should work even though the device fail to boot into IOS. I experience b4 in my Ipad1.

Your iphone battery may be going bad already. Either try for warranty or find replacement batt when u can't stand the short battery life.

Aiyoh, how come when i sync my picture folder say folder name : ABC

After sync, i got 2 folder in my iphone with the exact same images inside. The 2 folder names are ABC and another Photo Library

After a while using my Iphone4 with IOS5, I noticed there few problems, bugs maybe?

1. All my camera pictures taken will look ok in the phone but when transfer to the computer and look, all the pics turn upside down. Like the roof become the ground and the ground become the roof.

2. When calling or receiving call using speakerphone, I can hear the other party but the other party cannot hear me. Its like my microphone is not working but when off speakerphone mode, the call become normal, the other party can hear me again.

Restarting the phone does not help at all. I also suspect mic is faulty but when I use the Voice Memos function, it works well.

Anyone facing the same issues as me?? Any suggestion to solve the problem? Should I send for warranty?

Anyone having issues with mic during call in speakerphone?

I have issue after updating to IOS5. When using speakerphone for calls, the other party can't hear me but I can hear them. Switching to phone mode solve the problem, but once switch back to speakerphone, same problem again.

Anyone got mic problem when using speakerphone mode in their ios5 iphone? Seems like I am the only one getting this problem....
