Sure can. the .ipsw is available to donwload without using itunes, but when updating u sure need an internet connection as it will need to verify it with apple serverAdded on October 11, 2011, 4:23 pm QUOTE(roommate @ Oct 11 2011, 01:20 PM) Lol. If you noticed, this features has been introduced long time ago on the jailbroken device. From my opinion, those Jailbreak team are way smarter than iOS software developer. QUOTE(unequalteck @ Oct 11 2011, 01:46 PM) jailbreak team doesnt care about quality ios software developer care about quality they wan to make it perfect i ever use camerabutton in cydia, but will crash always. now attached in ios5, crash no more QUOTE(MyKy44 @ Oct 11 2011, 02:00 PM) haha. i don't jailbreak my iPhone. i dont know about this feature b4 this :-)This post has been edited by neo_sharky: Oct 11 2011, 04:23 PM |

@goskype
I don't think so, not for the time being cause if it can be introduced on iPad2, it will be available on the i4 This post has been edited by tinkerbel: Oct 11 2011, 04:32 PM |

QUOTE(goskype @ Oct 11 2011, 04:29 PM) QUOTE Siri is available in Beta only on iPhone 4S and requires Internet access. Siri may not be available in all languages or in all areas, and features may vary by area. Cellular data charges may apply. From Apple website QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Oct 11 2011, 04:31 PM) @goskype Apparently it's the processor on the i4 thats not fast enough. At least that't what ppl are saying on the forums but personally I think it's just plain BS. But since the ipad2 already has the A5, it's not a valid argument. I don't think so, not for the time being cause if it can be introduced on iPad2, it will be available on the i4 But yeah, maybe on later models so that anyone interested to get Siri will have to buy a new product. |

@langstrasse,
Seriously?! If Siri is going to be hogging all the resources, then the increase in speed is not going to be uhm...... much of an increase? *shrugs* |

I was think how is iMessage gonna work if I have a data plan and send a message to my friend without a data plan or wifi. Is it smart enough to know my friend do not have Internet and send as sms or will it be like whatsapp message kept in the server only.

Theoretically, it will works like normal SMS (and u dont have to use your data plan), since it will be replacing the Message for iPhone...Correct me, if i'm wrong... You can switch off button in iMessage setting if you dont want to use as iMessage. It will be in General -> Message. Just wait for the release of iOS tomorrow.. Correct me, if i'm wrong... |
