Hi Bosses, I'm considering to get a 2.5G soon. But so far I'm really afraid that I'll regret it. My concerns are: 1. I'm going to use it for city driving. I love tough cars and the commanding view. How feasible is this? Is parking really going to be an issue? How about refueling (diesel)? Are the pumps clean? Read somewhere that someone got issue because old fuelstation has water seep into the tank.. 2. Was reading a lot of theft on hilux. Is this a real bummer? What advise would you share for me eg. what kind of security systems, etc etc 3. I am currently driving a vios. Low maintenance, not so much issue. Cheap service too. Does switching to Hilux potentially give me a shock? How frequent is the tyre change recommendation? Service center charges? motor oil cost? Thank you in advance for your advice. With you all well.

QUOTE(jovial @ Nov 18 2014, 06:24 PM) 1. If water in fuel, will be caught by the filter. Parking isn't that bad. I've only had to give up 1-2% car parks due to it being too small. But see your skill also. If you're a bad reverse parker, then either keep your existing car or learn to reverse park. Advise : a hilux is not a sedan car. don't go sapu corner or speed. You're much heavier and with a higher centre of gravity. Harder to stop too. 2. So far Most of the hilux i've seen stolen are parked outside the house every night. So park inside your compound at night. Buy a GPS tracker, add a 3rd party immobilizer..buy insurance.. 3. Vios will definitely be lower maintenance. Each hilux service is about 400 for basic (5k) and 1+k for major (every 40k). Tyres are about 400 each. Change about 40000-80000km depends on the tyre type. Thank you. Decided to wait until next year's year end sale. My Vios should have better trade in value (vs my loan settlement) then as well.
