since seagate has a reputation for reliability, i'm thinking of getting one.
the 250gb sata2 seems the best bang for buck

goddamn. my maxtor sata is dying on me. the next brand i'll buy is hitachi or seagate.
anyway, how do i rma maxtor harddrives? return to the shop and pay them fees? or is there a "maxtor center" where i can bring the harddisk to?

The WD 500gb selling for $355 in bulk section, compared with those bought at shops, which would you prefer?

Would you say the one in bulk section is inferior? Or they perform/last the same, just that warrenty periods differ?
