IBM now bundle pc with western digital hdd too.. i have some time playing with my relative computer when she place the pc over my house for a month for me to fix it...

so far i have 1 maxtor, 40gb bought 4 years ago... still going strong with 24-7 BTing

Western DIgital 160gb... this drive seems idle.. only to store my songs/movie only..

quantum 1gb, throw away edi... still perfect condition after 13 years...regret doing so .....

samsung 20gb... so far so good.. so far yet to crash any hdd b4

i dont have first hand experience with samsung hdd, but my friend died within 1 year.. not sure how intensive he BT in australia

edit : it's extremeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeely quiet

let's say this is your primary drive around 300~500gb, will u use it without any partition? or partition it?

will partitioning helps in helping to reduce seeking time?
