QUOTE(Sanko @ Oct 19 2005, 12:50 AM) hrmm.... anyone knows what reliable cooling setup for HDD? for me i just leave 1 slot space between 2 HDD. Should be alright.....BTW my casing installed 6 fans (4 in front and 2 back) and 1 is WD 5400rpm and Maxtor 7200rpm. Heat its not an issue for me very curious on it cause heat is really an issue in every electronic stuff.. |

QUOTE(jonathanchee315 @ Dec 11 2005, 03:33 AM) anyway i think maxtor is the best but this is depends on your luck my friend bought maxtor is from china but i bought is from singapore.it is all depends on your luck. not really......Maxtor HDD famous as "Data Killer". There is a thread discussing about HDD and almost 90% user complaining Maxtor HDD. If you have friends who are PC hardware dealer ask them what HDD giving the most problem........MAXTOR |

QUOTE(Christopher_LKL @ Dec 14 2005, 08:30 AM) the most scary thing about harddisk is they just died without any symptoms .... i used to have 1 maxtor and 2 western digital and 1 seagate .... they serve me well and still under warranty period ... but i guesss we cant just predict ... they died just overnight ... unrecoverable ... really sad ... all data gone! ... is there any harddisk that can promise will not died without any symptoms for 3 years time? Maybe there is but you did not realise it. Such as...it produce noise, "click" sound or sometimes cannot be detected but later on work fine. Those are the symptoms for mine. |
