2. And between Seagate and WD, which is a better brand, especially its reliablity...

In my work experience I got most maxtor hard disk failed (with maxtor powermax diagnostic software) so I think maxtor is not very good. Do you guys agree with this?

My 80GB maxtor backup drive still going strong after 3 years, guess I'm one of the lucky ones.

victorboy, could it be it is because it is manufactured in China cause the problem?  do you having any other problem other than lagging for that hd?

Hitachi runs rather fast for me, not to mention it has solid build-quality But for daily usage I can't really tell the speed difference between all of my HDDs, to be precise Hitachi versus WD

Since shoji@gz said it'll only drop the most Rm10 only.
I though of buying a 250GB ,  but not sure whether should wait until pc fair or not since i am out of hard disk space of my 80GB .

hey guys, i want to get an internal HDD and an external HDD enclosure, im planning to get the WD 160GB Sata II HDD, but regarding the external casing,I'm not sure wat brand to get, any recommendations? and is it better to get an external HDD or do it like the way I'm trying to do it now? (get internal HDD and use external casing)

1 more question, my mobo is MSI 865PE Neo2, i see that it has 2 sata connectors on the mobo, and I already have 2 sata HDD connected 2 it, so if i plan to add another sata HDD, how do i go abt doing it? and can a SATA 2 HDD work on my mobo?

izzit usually for those people who never shut down the pc put a fan for the hardisk? and what hardisk fan is highly recommended..i just down want my pc make more dust as more fan in my pcu..futhermore, more fan increase noise...I just hate NOISE !!
