im planning to buy eg8 or eg9 well it depends on budget around 20~k.

any advice for senior member?

currently im driving satria neo 1.6 auto. planning to get d15 manual or perhaps b16 manual.. well still it depends on the condition of the car. do you think its a good decision to change my car...

well this because im joining my brothers who recently bought an EK3 and my second brother used EF for about 2 years already so i think i join the bandwagon, do you think this is a good decision? thank you

so even honda fan doesnt recommended me to change my satria to an old eg9. so i guess it was ok just to maintain my current car. but well its a proton. compare to a honda ... u know what people say..

well maybe i just get involve so much to join them in the bandwagon i guess i just pass then ... and keep my car.. well any other suggestion are still open... ill keep it alive and always take a new consideration

im thinking to buy eg9.. with stock b16a auto .. can you guys tell me how is roughly the fuel consumption.. its because my current car satria neo 1.6 auto eating fuel like mad rm20 ron95(10.5l) = 80km+-..and the stupid thing the ecu cant be reflash .. need to go to proton..

so how bout honda b16a?.. how isit compare with d16?

ok.. if you never own an auto before.. how about manual? are u driving an eg9 too? is there any known issue/problem that i should know of?

hi i just bought 98 civic eg8 with with everything stock.. with some goodies like cromax, rear disc, and the car is very clean with no sign of modification , and maintainence record... but the speedo meter is not working so what could be the issue? the sensor or the meter itself? the meter does go up.. but stuck at 20km/h.. or is there any obd scanner like www.superscan.my that can be used with this computer box? i think its an d15b

im driving eg8 with d15 auto just bought about a week... stock .. no idea which version of d15. i would say 60% city driving

but currently my fuel consumption 10.5 liter (RM20) about 80km Fuel warning to fuel warning.

or i dont know how to look at my gauge? how to look at it? fuel warning still dissapear from time to time... or should i look at it until it points the red line?

if this is high consumption how what should i be concern about? o2 sensor? how much it cost? map sensor? how to check if it is a right sensor for my car? reset ecu? can i do this by unplugging the battery? or totally flash it ?

Im driving an eg8 jdm with d15b auto engine. Currently it was leaking and kinda high on fuel consumptionn.

So im thinking to get a d15b virs . What should i get in term of parts? Should i get the whole engine with ? CKD or just head? Or isit not worth it? Or i just get mine overhaul?

A friend said i can just use my ori block and get intake, ecu, head and distribur from virs and i should be able to PnP it.

And does virs come in manual,

If u guys suggest me to swap to b16 im sorry its around 9k here without installation and its kinds not worth it for me.

my current engine around 150k.. just bought it last year .. no idea what have done to it..

im driving the d15b vtec version just not 3-stage version.

full convertion b20 it might costly.

d16 are much better engine then d15b?

ok will search around over the weekend for b20.. not sure how much it would cost..

or maybe will go for b16a.. but it will burn my saving with 10k price tag on it.. which i think i would better sell of the car buy something else.

i actually looking for some reliable engine with low cost .. around 6k.. even think to get an b16a engine ampai.. but i still hesitate cus i never done it before.

as a hondarian to another do u think its worth the swap? my car body is in very good condition without any stain of rust... but with the current price dropping do u think its worth it?

performance probably not until i wan to do street race.. just a normal show of kind of things.. haha

another thing.. who know how much does overhauling d15b would roughly cost ? thinking to get it overhaul.

currently the gearbox spoiled. and the barcode there said S4PA -XXXXXXX

anybody know what kind of gearbox is this?
