today i go check wheel alignment on my 93 civic, but they just check the front wheel alignment for me so i asked the staff there and he responded that my car is not required to align the rear, just some cars are required to align the 4 wheels. wonder is that true and why?

QUOTE(mADmAN @ Jul 7 2012, 10:37 PM) Added on July 7, 2012, 11:18 pmoh yeah... one more thing forgot to mention... when looking into buying EFs.. make sure the chassis is EF chassis and not the local model ED (though there are some very good EDs out there) reason for this is EFs come with anti-rust from factory while the ED doesnt...even if the ED already has had anti-rust done by one of the owners.. its still a very old car..and u cant really tell wats going on under the new layer of anti-rust how bout eg chassis and eh? does it come with anti-rust from factory too?

QUOTE(mADmAN @ Jul 26 2012, 04:02 PM) if FC is ur main concern, i think the SOHCs would be a better bet...but if u want performance, it aint that bad actually...but i dunno how it compares to ur neo though. never owned a B16A Auto before...only manual... and it would be strongly advisable to retune it to run on RON95... crome is about RM550 from avantech siap tune Added on July 26, 2012, 4:04 pmhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torque_converterit basically replaces the clutch in manual cars may i know how to retune b16a to run on ron95? what is the different? reduce knocking sound?

QUOTE(mADmAN @ Aug 1 2012, 10:04 PM) depending on wat ECU ur using OBD0/ OBD1/ OBD2... and also wat management u wanna use. my car have been having issues lately...but in the midst of rectifying...and its always the same thing...the damn block but that also coz internals of the block fully modded....everything else definitely no issue... even the aircon is damn cold heheheheh but seriously if i replace the current engine with a stock one im confident itll be problem free other than wear and tear parts. OBD0/ OBD1/ OBD2 i think my ecu is stocks one also what kind of management did madman refer to? i really know kacang putih about car system only

I have an EG with b16a Auto clocked around 270k mileage. previously gearbox problem because quite often fail to engage reverse gear, need tekan a bit tekan a bit then will engaged sedikit, sometimes langsung cannot engage reverse gear. and then normal drive if press pedal harder, the rpm went up but car speed up a bit only. last few week change a halfcut one, no problem with normal drive shifting and reverse problem now, gear engaging can feel the jerk much stronger. but still the same problem, no power no the high end reving. is other problem like ecu tuning, air filter, halfcut transmission nt good, or engine lifespan near to end? i doubted that exhaust system not fluent coz last time a foreman suggest me replace my exhaust filter which is at the middle of the exhaust pipe, he said the filter should be stuck since the long period of time for not cleaning it. please advise me..

finally i get a bit worry on my 93' civic and need advise from the forumers 1) recently my car start to rev itself in the morning when i switched the transmission to neutral. it wont happen immediately when i start my car in the morning, it will start to auto rev maybe after 5 min like i stopping at some traffic light near my house and when i switched to neutral. revving btw 1k-1.5k. i think this will only stop when the car is completely warm up. 2) this happen 2nd times already. when my car running around 80kph at the highway, and suddenly the engine light flash up and i lose throttle to my car(no response from my gas pedal). but after a few seconds the engine check light go off and it go back to normal. i not sure whether these 2 problem is related or not but i really worry is one day my car engine check light show up and wont go off again when i am on the middle of the road. the 1st problem i have mentioned to a mechanics and he didnt solved it, damn so untrustable! anyone here know or experienced this problem let me know how to solve it or give me some recommendation for some trustable workshop pls This post has been edited by coOLR3xz: Nov 11 2013, 01:35 PM

QUOTE(unitron @ Nov 11 2013, 09:31 PM) Maybe it's the IACV (idle air control valve) or MAP (Manifold Absolute pressure) sensor problem... or even a vacuum leak... Take to trustable workshop that can scan for fault codes. Preferably one that is used to dealing with lots of old Civics. I'll have workshop to recommend.. but it may take several visits to find what exactly is causing it. Sometime this kind of problem, one visit not enough. Let me know and I'll PM u. ps : I'm not an expert for that Civic model year, so please understand I could be dead wrong. alright, pls pm recommended workshop if location is ok i will try to visit soon the problems you have stated out ususally cost how much to fix it?
