My rig:
i5 2500k @ 3.3GHz (Not overclocked yet)
Asus p8z68-v
4 GB Kingston Value Ram DDR3 1333Mhz x2
4 GB Kingston Server Value Ram ECC DDR3 1333Mhz x2 (Salvaged from my server)
Leadtek Winfast Nvidia GTX580
Coolermaster Silencio 550 Casing
Prior to this, my Processor would idle at around 44 - 45 Celsius (morning) 48- 49 Celsius (Afternoon - Night). Load could go up to 68 Celsius.
The GPU idles at around 42 Degrees and could load up to 85 Celsius.
Basically, I have made an order for the coolermaster hyper 212+ cooler, and 4 units of Artic F12 PWM fans.
On my system, i have a 'cap ayam' 2000 rpm fan, and 2 stock fans rated at 800rpm (front and back).
What sort of configuration should i go with to ensure that my casing is optimally cooled.
My idea, as helped by a few other forumers, is
1. To replace the fan on the hyper 212+ . 1 F12 would work to push and 1 F12 would work to Pull (Push Pull)
2. To add 1 F12 to the front part of the casing, to blow air towards the GPU
3. To add 1 F12 at the rear of the casing, replacing the other stock 800rpm fan, to exhaust all the hot air out of the casing.
Is this good enough?
Could i do better? What else can i do, with all the other fans that i have? (1 Cap ayam 2000rpm + 2 stock 800rpm fans)
