this beta does not represent the final product. the purpose of this beta is to do a stress test on the server to see how it handles large volumes of traffic. most (read NOT ALL) of the glitches that we see in the beta has already been resolved.

people shouting? there's VOIP? i'm a new BF player....so.... forgive me for not spotting... dont know how to do and what's it for... is it the mark on top of the head of the enemy? people spot that? or.... auto when enemy attack... i dunno

Shouting as in Chat.... and yes u need to spot so that ur team knows enemy is there... of coz ppl spot u wont be able to auto spot....

I think you are starting this thread coz you saw quite a few ppl whining and threaten they will cancel their pre-order but i can assure you no gamers (especially BF fans) will seriously cancel their order just becoz of some glitches in the beta stage and just becoz we are not allowed to play the awesome Caspian Border map during the beta.

but of course some may still cancel their orders which I think only due to their hardware cannot meet the requirement of the games - quad core, DX10 GPU and lots of RAM, definitely not becoz of the game itself.

The Beta is indeed buggy and ass. The gameplay was definitely fun. But that was only Metro. I am looking forward for the other maps.

Sure as hell I am not going to cancel it just because the Beta was buggy. Surely the final version will be better and if not, they'll surely patch it like they always do. That's why they always win.

Anyway, I built my rig 10 months ago for these type of games. If I cancelled it, I am gonna put C4s in that subway tunnel and blow myself up.

Hell no, the game is really fun,

Beta is buggy, but alot better, fixes from alpha, I believe the final game will be alot better than what we have seen in both beta and alpha, just like before that BFBC2, its beta was buggy as hell, final game is better,

I hope they fix the funny slideshow lag when playing in Ultra settings for few games.

after doing massive research, i end up in GTX560ti

therefore i bought a MSI GTX560Ti Twin froz II.

due to the OC available, cooler, quieter.

gaming perform wise as the card quite optimize for BFBC2, so i bet the bf3 will be perform greatly for Nvidia card as well

maybe, if it comes to steam.

TSB should be under origin, not sure if can add to steam or not.. i somewhat recalled reading that u're only allowed 1 account per copy might be wrong tho

I normally use Firefox prior beta, but now i think i'll make Chrome my default browser. I've already migrated all the data from FF. Chrome just feels a lot faster and minimal in nature.

No, I will not cancel my preorder. A lot of people say that the game's buggy, glitchy and broken. But people need to know that this is only a beta. The meaning of a beta is an unfinished product used just for testing. This doesn't represent the final product and I believe in EA that they will do whatever they can to fix the bugs and glitches.

6950 still cant get high res for gaming..

6950 2gb can.
at most also i play around 16xx x something
1920 after fagg...uhh snipers start looking like ants from far away.
lower res also easier to spot targets from the air when ur dive bombing

didnt play caspian, didnt pre-order in the first place. not sure if will but have to if dont want to be late buyers whom have gotten their asses kicked based on previous bf2 and bc2 cases.

we still dunno on how they perform in larger map, which have bunch of bombardments cluster f from tanks, planes, heli, infant.

i have a gtx560Ti at the moment, purposely set the setting at medium, because i prefer constant 75++ FPS to perform in FPS. because i dont think i can enjoy eye candy effect while enemy is planning to anal probe me.


as for the topic, after the beta, i clicked "pre-order" so no i'm not gonna cancel them =D

apparently due to the number of glitches in the beta + ppl having the misconception of beta = demo,
and EA being a d*ck by not releasing conquest maps or vehicles in rush mode
not forgetting CODfags being CODfags, are fueling the fire of hatred by posting c*ck and bull story about how this game suck and so on becoz they only experienced rush mode

oh.. i forgot, there are also groups of ppl who wanted the game to be TOOOOOOOOOOOOOO realistic, like the recoils, the radius of grenade, the radius of explosives, the environment, the water ripples, the bullet drop, the scope glare, u name it

i get around 55 to 70 fps with 950Mhz on High settings...on 1600x900 resolution. Just nice.

my friend had problem using his 32" lcd tv with the mini hdmi port.. kept saying no signal detected, had to use the VGA connector and the quality sucked
i think GTX 560 ti doesn't have VGA.. only 2x dvi and 1 hdmi, maybe have to get the dvi to vga converter

it is operation metro, cause the map being small and less cluster f explosion, i wonder what will happen when we going for bigger map

Actually recoil really dont matter , just spray around the head/neck/chest area.....headshot wont make huge diff like CS 1.6 anymore.

IMO, all the assault rifle shoudlnt have zoom scope, sniper should have higher recoil when moving around, even should have recoil while moving in prone mode.
