I'm a happy owner of Honor starting yesterday
But Google Talk is missing on my Honor running ICS.
Anyone using ICS have Google Talk installed? How?
Thanks.

The screen protector definitely make the touch screen less sensitive.
I removed it. Happier Honor owner |

QUOTE(Dan Peng @ Mar 25 2012, 11:31 PM) What SP are you using? SP or Matte. I have some problem with the sensitivity too. I thought it was the SP. But after hearing you saying so. It confirms my suspicion. SP that came by default with the phone... with Gorilla Glass Screen, I don't think I need to use SP I'm not a big fan of SP BTW |

I'm quite a brand conscious kind of guy... the reasons I bought Huawei Honor are:
1. Price within my budget 2. The best battery capacity within that budget which no other major brand can offer this. |

QUOTE(PrinceOfAsgard @ Mar 26 2012, 11:57 PM) I'd seen ppl selling honor for rm999 in garage sales. With this budget is it better to wait for xiaomi which is selling each for 1999 yuan (around rm979)? The benchmark score is not bad and the specs are definitely better. waiting game for new gadget will never end...if you can afford to wait, then just wait... but if you really can't wait, just grab the one within your budget, with the highest spec at the moment |

As long as official ROM do justice to my phone, I'll stick to official ROM.
I stay loyal to Motorola Defy official ROM until they stop updating at Froyo (not even GB). Then the latest Froyo slow down my phone worst than previous version (Eclair). Only then I resorted to use Cyanogenmod 7.1. So I hope Huawei will continue to support this phone and have good QC of their ROM. |

Keeping this Cambodia ICS in view for another week... If no global/Malaysia version ICS by then, Cambodia it is.
*Dang! I think Huawei has removed the ICS Cambodia from their website... anyone care to share? Added on April 3, 2012, 7:40 am QUOTE(hkboey @ Apr 2 2012, 10:47 PM) Haha.. maybe Huawei is unwanted child by Google? Samsung are generating more revenue for Google mah... emmm... om Google Play it stated that Dungeon Hunter 3 is not compatible with Honor... weird since it is compatible with my old Motorola Defy...Just jk by the way. How you mean incompatible? Cant download from Google Play or the game cant start? What are requirements Google set for apps compatibility on devices? Added on April 3, 2012, 12:23 pm QUOTE(hkboey @ Apr 3 2012, 01:53 AM) That joke is not a joke? What a joke? LoL!! Why Cambodia then? So weird! Anyway, good to hear its a stable ROM. Is this Cambodia ICS fix Google Calendar sync problem? There's another bug for ICS... the "Time Take" properties in photo EXIF is having bug... all the photos are 8/2/2002. QUOTE(adfy @ Apr 3 2012, 01:22 PM) Hello guys, maybe this one?I just bought Huawei Honor yesterday at IMCC Mines 2. Default OS is Android ICS 4.03. One question.. does anybody know where can I get the Android Gingerbread 2.3.6 stock firmware so that I can revert back. I feel ICS is a bit heavy for Honor. So I would like to have in hand the stock Gingerbread 2.3 stock rom and the ICS 4.03 in hand in time of needs to re-flash them incase something goes wrong. Anybody have knowledge of where to get them? I would be very grateful, thx a lot! Summary of the phone : Sometimes jerky with ICS 4.03, memory seems lower than only 342.1MB, maybe cache 128MB use some of it (not 512MB), internal storage 882MB (not 1GB), i noticed there is a 2GB internal SD Card which I don't know for what. Camera capture is good enough for me. Video recording seems okay too despite a scary review of it being jerky (maybe ICS fixed the issue). Battery longetivity still under testing. Overall.. good phone for the price. http://www.huaweidevice.com/cn/downloadCen...softid=NDEyODA= someone please verify... |
