Malaysia New Mobile prefix ’011′ with 8 digit phone number
Malaysia : Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), had announced that, a new mobile prefix ’011′ has been opened to be shared by 11 mobile telephone operators due to high growth mobile telephony’s number subscription. This situation had put pressure on current allocation and availability numbers to the service providers. This new additional allocation is NOT a Replacement to the existing prefix that are currently use, that is : ’010′, ’012′, ’013′, ’014′, ’016′, ’017′, ’018′, ’019′. The 7 Digit mobile numbers subscribers will continue using their existing number without any changes. The used of the new prefix ’011′ is effective from 15th December 2010 and will be shared the all current existing service providers. |
