I haven't come across someone who opts for Astro broadband (comes with IPTV, or vice versa). Go for Unifi, shows on Astro are outdated anyway. Live shows? Well you can always stream them.

Dont bother with astro...bunch of bastards. Overpriced, monopolizing bastards.

With unifi, you can stream whatever you want online, and even if it rains like a b**** outside your unifi wont fail. Astro, someone cry on the dish and will fail 1/2 hour...

The only downside of Unifi (to me) is they don't have the license to air footballs (major leagues).

True, but my point is Astro might be losing a lot of customers (young, working adults) who find Astro is only there because of the sports package hmm.gif I'll terminate my Astro too if TM could bring in sports.

ask yourself these 3 question

1) Got time to watch drama on Astro, or download and later watch?
2) Got time to sit down and watch sports, or stream from internet?
3) Can I leave my computer on 24/7 and dl prawn?

If you are housewife or retiree, and dunno how to use computer, then Astro better.

otherwise ...

even my mum ask me to dl korean drama for her, easier. Can watch anytime she needs.

Dear all,

I had heard UNIFI is doing very good! But because I am moving to my new house next year to Kajang but no UNIFI service available at my new place while the old place right now in Bukit Jalil here got UNIFI.

I asked UNIFI last time that if I have to cancel it due to no UNIFI service at my new area, any charges? They said yes it's RM300 penalty even though not I want to cancel willingly, I cancel it because no UNIFI service there, I feel that this is ridiculous for UNIFI that need to change this law.

Any one know about this?

You have signed the contract for 24 months, you've agreed to the T&C, your only option is to pay. If it's not mentioned in the T&C, I guess you can wish for an act of good faith by them. Try writing to a newspaper.

Sometimes things are unforeseeable. You definitively can't say your house won't be brought down to earth by fire in the next 24 months.

Yes this one running on fiber optics and it is not through dish as many assume it is. And also new disputes between local stations & Astro means there is no local channels to be seen in Astro anymore. How i know? Because yesterday i was at my customers place, he is disconnecting his Astro dish & streamyx to op for Astro HSBB service. Think about it, Astro also dependent on Telekom for bandwidth. And Telekom Hypp TV depends on Astro. I think its an exchange deal or something. Last time when Astro first came up, they say their tech is capable of 400Mbps download. even the decoders hint they could offer broadband through dish. Dunno they misprint or what. unsure.gif

TS talking about ASTRO IPTV(via TIME Fibre) or Unifi?

or ASTRO via satellite dish?

If ASTRO IPTV, it's better than Unifi.
