Watch the anime! The art is nice. Btw, it could be a prequel but from the first ep it could also be a sequel.

If you are talking about shinsen-subs, its not. The link is not working in tokyotosho and its not listed in shinsen-subs website.

Uh actually Blood+ is from Blood OVA. Its the prequel.

Heh for some reason I got a beef against Live-Evil. They always sub Initial D soo long (usually months) and its weird because its their group that exclusively subs it. Anyway, thats partly my reason on why I prefer Shinsen's subbing of this anime.
