for ur info....tat site is something which called themselves anime-empire...and they are different from the anime-empire tat most here know....the A-E tat we generally know is a fansub group....urs is a site named so, and though i nv tried downloading their stuffs...i believed they are not a fansub group themselves, just some people who convert fansubbers avi release into rmvb for smaller file sizes....

I am running out of anime to watch so is this a recommended? Which fansubs is good? Wanna download torrent from ep1... Tsk tsk!!

it's not the problem of codecs la when i say it sucks....player or codecs has no real connection wif the quality.....
it's the file inherent property tat make it sucky compared to avi, mkv ogm....but due to tat also, the file size is smaller....
using real alternative or real player itself dun make a difference in the quality la....and also, if u said u can fit 30 eps of anime in 1 cd....the file size must be damned small, and bitrate also low=sucky quality
go read up on wikipedia first before crapping on the comparison of quality la.....

I started watching bakakozou subs, I dont know if shinsen is better or not..however I did watch eps 14 from shinsen and the song translation is wrong so I continued with baka subs and still satisfied~

i use rmvb as compromise for disk space, i know nothing about technical stuff, the observation is solely base on my own eyes and ears. avi simply used too much space, by rmvb, the visual and audio quality reduced not even 1/5 but the space used is only 1/2 compare to avi, heck, sometimes u won't even know the file is rmvb unless u open 2 same video and compare. don’t believe me? try compare a tv-rip avi and a dvd-rip rmvb with about half its size, u will know which 1 is better. if people say mkv is much better than rmvb i agree, but avi? with proper source and bit rate configuration, i will choose rmvb over avi anytime, i hav enough dvds piling up in my room, i make my choice, avi just not worth it.
