Just to share with you for the latest price update which I found when I was shopping for my set of 18" tyres last week. All the prices are from Perkhidmatan Tayar Hin Leong located in Jalan Kapar, Klang:-

Size: 225/40/18:
1) Toyo C1S : RM 600 each
2) Michelin PS3 : RM 650 each
3) Neuton NT3000 (Made in Indonesia) : RM 280 each
4) Roadstone (Nexen) N3000 (Made in Korea) : RM 385 each
5) Nankang Ultra II (Made in Taiwan) : RM 360 each
6) Yokohama A.Drive R1 (Made in Philippines) : RM 410 each
7) Yokohama S.Drive (Made in Japan) : RM 550 each
8) Achilles ATR Sport 2 (Indonesia) : RM 320 each

Hope that this will serve as a price guide for those of u guys hunting for a set of 18" rubbers. I'll update on 19" & 20" by end of this weekend as I'm going to replace new set of rubbers for my other rides. wink.gif

hi boss, can help me scout also for 185/60/14  doh.gif  available tire price at Perkhidmatan Tayar Hin Leong? thx thx
*
Sorry dude, I don't have the price list for 14" unless I asked for it. I got price list for the available tyres for 18", 19" & 20" as these are the sizes that my rides are riding on.

15" tyres prices varies also from different tyre shops. If money is not an issue, go for the Continental Premium Contact 2 (Made in South Africa) for maximum comfort & occasional spirited driving.

Not really good tyre, Preve & Exora CFE oem tyre. I replace it with Neuton tyre, feel much better grip & performance.
*
I think u got it wrongly for stock Preve & Exora CFE tires. Those fitted on both cara are GT Radial Champiro BAX2 tires & not Champiro HPY as HPY are UHP series tires.

Both Champiro HPX & HPY offers superb grip as well handling with its reasonable pricing from GT Radial.

Ops! sorry not really look at the model coz just change it after one day used. Now Indonesia made tyre already upgrade the quality & may be can compete with Thailand made.
I do agreed that some of GT Radial tires' series are a bit disappointing but not for their flagship Champiro HPX & HPY series. Personally I've tested the HPX series sized 225/40/18 on my MK5 GTi as got it dirt cheap from the tire shop & it was pretty predictable when hit speeds up to 250 km/h +/- on NSE. Used it for less than 2 months before upgraded to 19" due to 6-pot calipers. cool2.gif

may i know prices for HPX per pieces? as i know HPY is around 390-400 per pc.Tq
If I remembered correctly, I purchased the Champiro HPX size 225/40/18 for RM260 each about a year ago from my regular tire shop in Sg. Besi area. It was dirt cheap & since I wasn't sure whether to go for 19" at that moment..... I accepted the offer from the tire shop for a set of 4 pcs Champiro HPX. icon_rolleyes.gif cool.gif

Try call up Hua Hin Tyres Services at 03-79826390 & ask whether they still have any remaining stocks for GT Radial Champiro HPX. Please take note that the price of RM260 offered to me was about a year ago. cool2.gif wink.gif

Is it hard to find tyre with size 185/55/R16? I'm driving Honda city '09. Found one in Johor, Michelin xm2 for rm310 each. Is it pricey?
U can consider to replace the stock City 2009 tires' size to 195/50/16 & there are quite a number of tires brand u can consider.
