my opinion is can see from the computer one.if lari can change.some people say dont have to change.but personally i changed it.without the chamber nut, cannot adjust it.the nut only change once.next time got lari then can adjust alr.

very less tyre is comfort and last longer one.usually comfort tyre wear faster wink.gif correct me if im wrong. just based on feedback and experiece wink.gif
*
comfort means less noise...not performance...only performance tyre wear faster...i've used some semi-slick tyres..only last for 1 year for me....

but according to the feed back, most comfort tyre are soft type which wear faster like yoko db(40k mileage) which I have use before.agreed with u that better grip wear faster too like advan ad07, I pro etc.ad07 only last 25k on my car.while dunlop d01 around 65-70k mileage.
*
comfort tyre like michelin XM2 (currently on myvi,my gf car) is very silent...grip on dry is good...but on wet..u have to be careful...sometimes can buang also...really can pull u to the left or right...that XM2 according to michelin website is made for long lasting with comfort...maybe Yokohama C Drive is better than this XM2 (for grip)...

went to Hin Leong Kedai Papan Klang today got myself a pair of 195/60R15 Michelin XM2 for rm260/piece.. price naik harga d.. page one mention rm250.

total damage was 650 for tyres, balancing, alignment all 4 tyres and two chamber nuts for the front. .. thy charge extra for the back since i didnt change tat tyres.. and two chamber nuts (rm40 a piece) for the front.. jus decided to change it since it will happen sooner or later anyways.. jus a reminder to ask for the higher durable ones.. the nut shows a 10 marking instead of 8.8... the 8.8 one cost rm30. the 10 marking cost rm45 but nego till 40 a piece..

the place is crazy filled with people.. first time being there.. highly recommended.. allot of people there i chatted with was referred by their friends. and service is very organized.. and speedy too...

thumbs up!!!

a very common situation there...

just now change tyre to Michelin XM2 185/70R14 at prima saujana, kajang. RM 215 per tyre. so change all the 4 tyres. chamber adjust front RM25 per side. alignment & balancing free. They did free for the rubber valve and I decided to change to metal avlve which they charge RM 10 per valve. original is RM 15. so overall paid today RM 950.
*
myvi?

chamber adjust i can get RM15 per side, and RM10 for metal valve..most place i've visited also RM10...RM5 for rubber 1...

i'm currently using SIME ASTAR 300 2pcs for front as my budget quite tight at the time of purchased...RM470 for 2pcs tyres including alignment and balancing...so far still ok...not that bad...can take fast corner too (but maybe my adjustable contribute some stability)....not too silent but not to noisy...always travel from Seri Gombak to Kuala Rompin via Seremban/Kuala Pilah/Jempol/Muadzam Shah...so far the thickness still good...not so fast wear...if got some budget, gonna put this tyre for rear and get a new pair for front...but maybe a better tyre...hehe....for budget tight, this tyre can do well for the $$$ burned...but perhaps Maxxis is better than this...Dunlop D01 is worst than Sime Astar 300! forgot to mention that i'm running on 215/45/17...

QUOTE(Vcys86 @ Feb 4 2012, 06:12 PM)
Hi,

Would like to get some advice from sifus here.

My car (Gen-2 CPS), one of the its rim has been damaged (uneven cover on the tyre), which cause its tyre pressure keep on dropping overtime.
about 2kpi/day.

Since it is stock rim and stock tyre (almost 4yrs usage, almost 5 yrs from production date, it does consider old right?), I am thinking to change all 4 rims and the tyres as well. Should i?

Can i change to the 16"? any setback if i do this way?

Any suggestion/input on my above issue would be greatly appreciated. (rim, tyres, shop recommendation, etc.) Thanks.

i think 17" also can la...lots of gen2 with 17" nowadays...

for me,even if they cannot guide me to the exact shop...i still can roughly allocate the budget for that tyre....just plus minus some $$ to be safe...a little bit of information can be considered as data analysis...better than none right...
