I cant seem to find any reviews on the Kia Optima's Nexen CP643a (225-45-R18 95V) on tyre reviews UK. Does anybody know of any other reviews for this tyre? These tyres are quite noisy.
Thinking of changing to Michelin Pilot Sport 3 but this tyre didnt get as many good reviews as the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymetric 2 or the Continental Sport Contact 5.
Can anybody provide some insight on the PS3 and Asy 2? How about pricing? Havent checked out Lim Tayar in TTDI yet for these 2 tyres.

QUOTE(TakoC @ Apr 7 2012, 01:01 PM) For more quiet tyre, it would be the CC5.
If I'm not mistaken when I change to PS3, CC5 price is around that range too. I would reckon going for PS3 if you're looking for better handling etc. Worth every buck! For quiet tyre, then CC5. Actually CC5 is more expensive compared to PS3 but thats because its fully imported from Germany while PS3 is made in Thailand. But surely PS3 is a better tyre. Not sure which is more quiet though. But tyre with best reviews is Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetric 2.

QUOTE(Gouki @ Apr 12 2012, 10:33 AM) eagle F1 assy2 is miles ahead of PS3. eagle F1 is meant to go against PS2, PSP, CSC3 and P Zero. But Goodyear Assy 2 is only slightly more expensive than Michelin PS3. But for 225-45-18 no Assy 2. Closest is 235-45-18 which isnt much different. Why would anybody wanna go for PS3 with such a small price difference when ure getting a much better tyre in the Assy 2?

QUOTE(wintzen @ Apr 13 2012, 10:22 PM) Hi all, new here. Have been using Michelin XM2 for the past 4 years on my Myvi, 185/60/R14. Thinking of switching it soon since it's almost time to change, looking at the thread, still undecided on what to change, any recommendation? Yours is XM1 not XM2. BUt ull find the XM2 to be much better than XM1. Better stopping power and better grip on wet roads. Quieter too.

Go for Michelin XM2. Very quiet and good grip on wet roads. Good stopping power as well. Well worth the price u pay.

QUOTE(kw @ Jun 14 2013, 11:02 AM) Think the PS3 just re-stock by most of the tyre shops now. Initially I've been told by the boss that their available stock only with mft year 2011. Then later the boss told me just got new stock arrived and mine one is made in WK6, yr 2013. FYI, a week earlier I also helped my bro-in-law bought 4 pcs 205/55/16 PS3 at the price of RM425 each. The mft year also in 2013. Besides, I guess the latest batch PS3 prices has reduced compare to previous stock cause before I changed mine, I made a call to the shops a month earlier and been quoted with 10% higher price then the one I am changing now (from the same shop). PS3 easy to get as its a fast moving tyre. Not many would opt for the PSS because of the price. But keep in mind that the PS3 is not the replacement for PS2. The PSS is.
