QUOTE(DSV4600 @ Oct 3 2011, 11:44 AM)

205/55R16
Continental CPC2 - RM360 Malim Jaya Melaka (Jan 2011)
Dunlop SP2000 - RM275 PJT Pusat Bandar Puchong (Aug 11)
Falken ZE912 - RM285 Just Tyre Tel 04-5377223 (Jan 11)
Hankook Ventus 12 Evo - RM330 Just Tyre Tel 04-5377223 (Jan 11)
Hankook Ventus 12 Evo - RM305 TeckMing Sunway (April 11)
Nexen N8000 - RM 270 (includes valves and balancing) Hup Shun SS3 (Jan 11)
Goodyear F1 Directional 5 - RM388 (include balancing & alignment exclude valve) Quick Save (Sep 11)
All (thankfully so that I can change all 4 at the same time) 4 of my tires are almost botak so need to change them.
I heard Klang is the best place to buy tires if it's more than 2.

How should I choose my tires?
What brand should I choose?

Some info about me;
Driving a 2007 Waja.
Not a slow driver at all, hate them but not fast either.
I don't drive more than 120km/h. It's been years since it reached 120.
Most of the time it's 90-110km/h.

I'm looking to spend RM300 max on each tire.
But is it more worth it to spend RM50 more on each tire?
Is it worth it to top up more for these;
-Hankook Ventus 12 Evo - RM330
-Continental CPC2 - RM360
-Goodyear F1 Directional 5 - RM388

What are the advantages of those 3 more expensive tires?

Many thanks in advance

I heard from several friends that tires are cheapest in Klang.
If it is so, why are the shops in the price lists not in Klang? :confused:

Do you guys think it's worthwhile to travel to Klang to replace all 4 tyres?

I mean if it's RM30-50 cheaper per tire then I'd say it's worth it but if the tires there are only RM10 cheaper, then I'd rather save the RM30 petrol and Rm5 toll.

My cost to go there from Serdang
Petrol : RM30
Toll: >RM10

-What's the difference between a;
205/55 R16 &
205/50 R16?

-Does it make a difference is size? or more importantly the performance?

-Im currently using
205/55 R16 &205/50 R16.
What other sizes can I use in order to fit my wheels?
Or am I restricted to those 2 size formats?

-Will the prices of tyres increase starting 1st of January 2012?

-How come some Michelin PS3 are <rm300 and some >rm400 in the price list? So confusing.

I am currently using these sizes for my car;
205/55R16 & 205/50R16.

Can I replace it with 205/60R16?
Will it fit my wheels?

Thanks

Why are there no Yokohamas for the 205/50-55/R16's?
Don't they sell for that size?

How is the price range?
Is it similar to Nexen N8000?
How is Hankook Ventus 12 Evo vs. Nexen N8000?
What are their pros and cons?

Thanks

Guys,

Nexen N6000 vs. N8000 vs. Yokohama C Drive 2

Which is better?
According to one shop, Yokohama is better.
He said Nexen will get a crack and Yokohama is more comfy because it's softer.
Is it true or is he just pushing Yokohama?

Based on these reviews;
http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Yokohama/C-Drive2.htm]Yoko C Drive 2://http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Y...]Yoko C Drive 2
Nexen N8000 reviewhttp://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Nexen/N8000.htm
Nexen N6000http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Nexen/N6000.htm

Nexen N8000 came out on top.

Does different tyres really give that much different fuel consumption?
I read that Yokohama C Drive 2 saves fuel.

Is the difference really a lot?

Thanks

For 205/55 R16, is it worth it to spend RM50 more per tire to get Pirelli P6??
