Very informative review, much better than those normal chapalang review given by others.. ![]() ORI ![]() ride difference? well being a very sensitive driver that i am (i am very sensitive / observant) i am well aware of any slight changes of noise and etc on my rides. i find that most ppl i met be it car enthusiasts or professional mechanics, they are not as observant as i am. since been driving my ride for more than 2 years daily i thoroughly know my car's feel inside out and once i finally bought and fitted the 3 point front strut bar, i immediately felt the difference. first was the cornering (moderate speed) i felt the suspension is more less "flat" / stable / more in control and not dipping more than usual. then there's this stretch of road i pass by all the time which has these annoying small dips on the right shoulder whereby if u drive pass it at say around 80, the car will hv the annoying bumping down and up the small dips on the road. now, passing it, i felt the suspension to be "flat" and less of the annoying bumping. the steering response it slightly more precise / sharp. i'd say, i am pretty satisfied with the money burnt for this bar.... QUOTE(kiatsim86 @ Oct 7 2011, 12:31 AM) need some suggestions.... should i install 2 point strut bar/3 point strut bar or 4 point strut bar... wats the difference? The difference is in the stiffness that it offers lah.. 4 point is terribly stiff.. 3 point is that 2 strut towers are connected to the firewall also, preventing the tower from flexing more than a 2 point struts lah.. |

QUOTE(Fubar20 @ Oct 7 2011, 10:33 AM) I saw the Myvi, normal number plates only, but tampal those Bekas Police plague, Rela plague, those useless Negeri emblem all.. Like flower car wei... But too bad still parking at TarC roadside.. hahaha.. QUOTE(Cavino @ Oct 7 2011, 11:23 AM) Today just open up the engine for my other City (got 2 city). Up to 60K using Honda Idemitsu Mineral SL 10W30, 60K-~ 70K using Idemitsu Mineral SM 10W30, 70K to 80K using Idemitsu Semi Syn SM 10W40 and finally now using Idemitsu FS SM 5W30. In another word, from beginning till now using Idemitsu Mineral, then semi, finally FS. One thing good bout Japanese stuffs is that they really do proper R&D b4 marketing a product, and wont cut corners to achieve the quality standards. So when u are using a high grade stuff from Japan u can be assured of the quality and reputation of the manufacturer.. Engine is super clean when open up. Just like new, very impressive, no sludge, as matter of fact, not even a single hint of contamination. Current FS 2.5K mileage, almost 6 years. My mechanic commented after open up and look inside (in order to clean intake manifold, etc), the darn engine looks like newly arrive wan... Throttle body and intake manifold another story...had to clean and see if fix idle low rpm problem. Anyway, that city 80% city drive. Woman driver, service every 5K without fail (I'm the one who do it...)..I think I will stick with Idemitsu till the end, super clean and currently very silent engine and good torque performance. And most importantly service every 5K even with FS....used FS coz improve silent, reduce vibration drastically...and smoother acceleration. Of course price triple that of mineral...but worth it for comfort reason. QUOTE(Cavino @ Oct 7 2011, 11:59 AM) I modified in my original post...loves to modify instead of create new post.... Any to rephrase... Price for FS is abt RM198 to RM200 inclusive labor. Bought 2 cans 5W40 outside for RM140 only but still testing on both my city....hoping its original (it should be coz I think since Idemitsu only sell direct to workshop and not available on retail, it minimize potential for fakes (fakes wanted volume...parts shop sells)...but you never know... Semi 10W40 is abt RM110 kuah...with labor. Added on October 7, 2011, 12:05 pmSo far my City pistons looks ok...so I think no need magnatec kuah...coz the Idemitsu confirm super clean ASSUMING you service every 5K to 6K. I believe that is a major part of the reason for the super clean non contaminated shiny shiny internal engine... If like Zen, always drags till no power, don't think even if use Grade 4 FS, it can maintain that cleanliness.. Haha...loves to use Zen as example....but frankly lots of ppl drag till no power only change...engine cepat die wan...but in the end depends on luck.. QUOTE(Cavino @ Oct 7 2011, 12:30 PM) The only way to know if damage is done is to open open engine and see if piston or bore gap scratch due to insufficient thinkness. I think if you constantly go at 100 to 100km/h especially for long drive. Weight 40 is the one you should use, no doubt abt that. If most city drive and speed usually don't exceed 110km/h, weight 30 "might" still be manageable tho I still would go by the manual.. Next round I dunno which oil im going to try, another 4.5k km b4 my next service but i want to change earlier like after 3.5k mileage. Currently on my mind is Castrol Edge Titanium, Eneos fully Sync, Idemitsu Fully Sync and Mobil 1 Gold Super Sync.As I mention b4, lube clean either means your engine is clean OR it might be its not doing enuf cleaning. My City using the FS by 1K to 2.5K, already going towards dark brown...open up engine super clean. That means IT IS DOING whats its other key function is about....cleaning and SUSPENDING contaminants in its liquid. If after 10K still light brown...I will have doubt abt the lube cleaning AND suspension capabilities....NO WAY a lube in our weather and dusty air can maintain light brown after 5-6K.. |

And it's almost 1.5 mil pounds.. Itu belum kira malaysian tax yet.. Considering the fact that it costs almost the same as a Veyron, I'm expecting it to cost around RM 14-15 mil OR MORE for one of these? Kena supreme also belum tentu can keep the car permanently.. Considering the maintenance & roadtax/insurance.. And why compare this to a 911? compare it to 9ff la.. I thought they first said they wanted to produce 1000 Veyrons then stop production.. Now at 300 only they have ady stopped it.. Damn.. Added on October 7, 2011, 9:28 pmCorrection.. not 177 units made.. it's only 77.. Thus the name One-77.. QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Oct 7 2011, 10:28 PM) Galiber cost for the exhaust itself i guess cost as much as a Golf GTi..Added on October 7, 2011, 10:38 pm QUOTE(Cavino @ Oct 7 2011, 10:32 PM) Ahh....but its the fetherlite is branded wan and you use it on a verified subject. Cavino the lube and rubber man!! haha.. Both also goes hand in hand somemore.. haha.. If you're those ultra-sensitive pre-mature ejaluation type of guy, using thin condom, the effect will be detrimental for the erm....subject. Imagine that the Pimp (Proton) mentioned its girls (car) is using needs to use thick rubber (lube) for their protection. Some customer insisted on using the thin ones. It can be used alright, even more enjoyable than the thick ones but the risk is there that the non-recommended thin rubber pose a much higher risk that it will koyak and spills all its content to the girls...not good if that happen... If girls hear that i guess Proton will have much much more girl owners ady.. hehe. And probably out TT wont be a sausage fest ady. This post has been edited by ZenGTMM: Oct 7 2011, 10:38 PM |

I bet any car that last 10years also will have a lot of wear and tear ady.. Just like how if u're a performance oriented person.. Of course u go for thinner lube to maximize what u can get from ur car.. But if u care how ur car is going to last & perform for the next, say 5-10 years, then use thicker lube lah.. After 1st week, 2 problems need to be rectified. 1. Auto lock of left front door is not working. I have to manual lock/open it every time. 2. The rear left door is very hard to close. From the first post, World Car Care Services Sdn Bhd is the recommended SC. Can I go there on weekends to fix the first 2 problems before 1000KM service? My mileage only 300 now. QUOTE(K.Lee @ Oct 9 2011, 09:48 PM) Just reach KL. Fuel up 25l techron 97 before start journey, total KM covered 325km, FC is 7.6/100km i would say very good FC for high speed cruising although it burnt a hole on my debit card. The engine is so smooth and the pick up is so good with 97, engine noise compared to 95 is so much quieter even at 150kmh. 110kmh cruising time is like driving at 60kmh, idling noise also damn quiete. Today coming back along Karak also my car like no grip.. reach speed of 130-140kmh can feel the car tire like losing grip ady.. Want to give up give up like that.. Sien.. And lastly to stock 1.3 Myvi driver, don't act smart in highway and flashing light at other car in front of you when you can't go faster... FUCUK YOU... Was cruising at 120-130 with plenty of car in front me, then come this car from quite far started flashing light plus right signal at me then as usual too dark dunno what car was that so just move aside and let it through, mana tau is myvi, so i just cut it back to the fast lane and follow and cucuk the myvi. Then it kept flashing other cars in front then all those car just move aside and let it through. So reach one stretch no car in front anymore and finally the driver realized that the 1.3 myvi is just a blardy myvi, and move to the middle lane and never be seen anymore throughout the journey. Green Myvi with WUG plate. Another FUCUK you. QUOTE(shelby_yong @ Oct 9 2011, 11:33 PM) hi.. i am back...just change to Edge... A word.. Wow... change it from eneos...using 5k on eneos, the oil not in black colour.. amazingly leh... a bit red color only.... using Edge now.. engine more quiet.. and when rev time... not that bising... Edge good leh.. Edge Sport lagi good.. When just change the oil my IAFM noise like disappear.. hehe.. btw Minyak man Cavino, my Edge Sport 0W-40 is now 70% black.. only run like 6k mileage.. Engine performance still the same though.. |

QUOTE(abong8 @ Oct 10 2011, 03:29 AM) Where got cheaper? Petrol RM31.15, Toll RM33.30, Nescafe Classic RM2.30, altogether RM 66.75.. If take bus only RM26.00 plus cab RM10.00.. The only thing that makes me prefer driving is because I'm not attached to the bus schedule and I can start moving whenever I wanted to.. Owh if got 4 ppl share the car then its cheaper.. hehe.. Forgot to mentioned that.. QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Oct 10 2011, 09:08 AM) I think they(service center) offer shell only because most customers will go for shell since their mentality of Shell > all petrochemical brand. Even if you observe some Petronas and Shell stations side by side, you will notice Shell will have 1.5x more customer than Petronas station. Even if the Shell station is full, people will still beratur panjang to fill in Shell. lol Yeah, have to applaud Shells good marketing team, they always say that their fuel saves petrol, they never market their fuel as for performance (except for V-power), so they can kill 2 birds with 1 stone, the crowd that interested with fuel economy will pour 95 with fuel save, the crowd that look for a bit more power will pour 97 v-power, the crowd that has supercar and a lot of untaxed money will pour 99 v-power racing.. The place I service (CKL) still offering Petronas. Didn't keep track of it. But definitely way above my expectation of RM50 for 220-240km. Caltex marketing technique - better power and cleaner engine (not really relevant to price sensitive market) Esso - reengineering fuel for power and economy ( quite good, but never substantiate with facts like Shell 1L per tank saved) Petronas - they pay some ppl 1 tank full petrol so they can get testimonies from them. As though the other ppl care about testimonies from unknown ppl. BHP - gila banyak additives.. More than 2x than normal amount so got 2x more power (the majority wont buy into it). QUOTE(shakku @ Oct 10 2011, 12:19 PM) Hehe RM260 per donut. So total RM1040 for 195/60/R15. Do keep us updated on the tire performance at 10k km too.. Interested to see if XM2 got improvements for long term use compared to XM1.. I think its worth it since it's quiet tire even at 120km/h. First time I hear persona's engine sound rev below 2k rpm Tested during heavy downpour last weekend. Very grippy tire. I did tried going over deep water puddle on purpose at 90km/h No hydroplanning at all Erm its Aquaplanning.. QUOTE(shakku @ Oct 10 2011, 12:40 PM) Agreed on this. I change from Castrol Edge to Petronas Syntium 5000 0w-40. Engine feels feather light even reaching near 10,000km interval. Quieter too Another testimony for Shell not so good performance.. Added on October 10, 2011, 12:42 pm Maybe my driving habit. Too much FnF around corners without braking, letting the tires screaming. Need to change this habit Me also I take corners hardly.. QUOTE(NSX_MY @ Oct 10 2011, 03:08 PM) the threadwear rating for XM2 is 420, XM1 is 320, so by right, XM2 is can use last longer like perhaps extra up to 20k more compare with XM1 and also depending how you drive. The preformance and fuel saving should be improve a lot but i doubt the noise level might not be as quiet as XM1. Thats the reason i'll choose GR90 over the XM2 in terms of price/performance wise evethough GR90 only 260, heck i dont want to keep using the same tyre for 3-4 years No point using the same tire for so long, end up also the tire too old later mb will come out egg or sidewall puncture..
