right now i randomly taken any kernel .35 out there, really irritating, nothing seem to be working, failed, dam*. Is there someone out there trying to build some kernel for this device?

I will compile all da kernel i tested and giv u da link later, back on searching da kernel. This will takes time. Patience is virtue...... sorry but it really get in my nerve trying to find kernel that works.

what .nbo you wanted, there are many of them? state specifically to make it easy to choose.

Firstly i wanna say sorry, as i mention in earlier post that i will compile all the kernel i hav been downloaded, but i cannot do that as my kernel is on mediafire but, recently i want to take it back, it has been deleted by da admin for copyright, i m truly sorry, i will try my best to find it back or giv u da link as i already forgot where i got them. Really sorry...

Second, did u ever see rmcc cm rom on github? its cm6 but its got .35 kernel, i dont really understand how to compile all those folder and file given but, can u see it for urself? although u may already see it, its for wellcom, but still its a variant like commtiva z71.

Actually its an invalid question for me, but i will explain it for u, da script i gav u is named ungaze, its will create other internal for ur fone and ignoring ur internal fone, more bigger u partition ur sd, more IO score will u get, da best score i can get from da script is 3200 which da IO only scored 6300 in default, but as for ur partitioning ur sd, da script will strain ur sd like internal hardisk on ur pc, which mean, it depend most of processing of IO on ur sd, treating ur sd like a slave and u can never make any changes on ur sd or mounting ur sd without reboot, except copying file or transfering file. Da most efficient for gamer using this script is 1gb partition, better with 64mb swap, its da best, but remember, using swap or VM can kill or shorten ur sd life as it will treat da reserve VM as ram that will never stop processing until u off ur fone. Thats why i said earlier this script is creepy, even in class 4 sd, with read speed of 15 or 17 mb per sec is not enough. Imagine charging da script on class 2 sd, with speed of 15mb persec at perfect performance, but it still can be used.

Correct me if i m wrong, as angelictears is da dev here, but if u got money, changing da sd is da perfect solution. its for ur own good, but as i always say here, You will never know except u try it, so JUST DO IT. It get me pain in da a** also when releasing da method on making this cheap fone better, but, i always strive for performance, not appearance.

As for my question to u, what is da use of ur fone? media viewing? camera? Gaming purpose? or ur fone juz for calling and sms? do be like my nephew, throwing his htc desire hd to stone juz trying to compare which is harder, and of course, da stone win by default. I strive for all the method mentions, that why i will try to help mr angelictears create da best and the most reliable rom ever for this cheapy fone. Its for his own good, experiences, honor and da most valuable thing, knowledge.....that he learns and receive.

haha, different man different ways , well looks like we got different goal to achieve, but combining doesn't quite bad isnt it? been playing with da alpha ics, its not really ics, its a 2.3.7 cm7 based with ics look and feel, honestly, eventhough someone manage to port original cm9 or ics into this device, that a great idea but it will surely based on appearance only as ics prefer more ram and bigger cpu to run with stability + performance, as for appearance, juz download a decent launcher or make it urself laucher,

as for da .35 new kernel, been using since been upload, it seem no oc is allowed as ur fone will hang, and somehow, what bug do appear as, sometime fone wake up automatically, really dangerous if using postpaid as u may calling someone unnoticed. also not heavy app, but some app with more than 20mb apks will stuck or fc.Thats why i dont inform u about da kernel, it seem edgar finds some source code that will prevent that, i will try asking him.

kernel from edgar and koush .35 are the only kernel perfect for commtiva, else is rubbish, not even finish installing as error will occur even i force v3 cwm recovery. Seems like you need to wait as both of them still developing. I even try discussing with former phantom rom dev, seems like they doesnt interesting of making kernel for this cheapy fone anymore, focusing more on htc. What a day....

been searching for da new adreno driver u requested, i dont know if u already find it but, surely its a heavy task, i been roaming on qualcomm forum and site, but still dont know what to find, even downloading da sdk though got no idea what to do with it. Looks like adreno 200 and 205 not really different based on performance of required cpu. Can u just copy da .so and firmware file from cm7.2 and pasting it in ur rom? For god sake its a open source, isnt it?

as for those who wanna play with linux, ubuntu or wanna cook a custom rom, juz search on google by typing keyword like how to make custom rom, thats da easy way, juz follow da instruction and u can fry hard any custom rom from ur kitchen. but do not play with da installation of vm and ubuntu as its require changing hd into ext. Kitchen can be download from xda.

its seem like finding kernel will be hard task as many server are protecting their as* from da big fat terrorist FB*, da only direct download is from github and personal server. Well, what can i say as they do da right thing about copyright, but what bout open source? dammit that FB*, Need some time to think...

U hav try da guide of da angelictears blog? Try first, and forget to mention, if its a new fone, somehow, sometimes it cannot jump directly from 2.1 factory rom to 2.3 custom, check ur modem rev on download mode, and gav it here, if still cannot, revert back to 2.1, upgrade using sutlr with phantom rom using sutlr, then using cm 7.0.2 stable mod, or memory battery fix.nbo, still using sutlr, enter da rom and put cm 7.1.0 zip and update it using cwm (green mode). then update it using this rom zip, also dont forget to clear dalvik and cache before updating, after update, reboot recovery, change da cwm color (orange mode) and update da kernel, dont use da latest, try #37 first.

Bout da wifi, da problem lies on how to flash, if u flash in improper manner, it will goes like that. and take note that tethering will never work with 2.6.32 kernel, coz its 2.2 froyo kernel. gingerbread kernel is 2.6.35, if u find a stable one, post here.

Added on January 31, 2012, 1:24 amif da wifi still intact with da same problem, if its in stock factory rom, go return it back, its a false alarm, or failure on gadget, take da fone, and throw it on da salesperson head take a new one and test it first in front him before leaving.

If thats what u decide, then just do it ur da dev here.

No OC seems to disappointing me, but its ok, but please change da splash screen and boot animation, dont make it too bright, less white, more black is more efficient and battery saving when reboot, isnt it?

Forgot to say, its not really rare case for winkie, check ur system ui apk, somehow, it will lost due to unknown error, copy da apk back to system and change da permission to rw-r-r back and reboot, it will restore da bar.

So this time, ur rom will have
1) new adreno driver
2) plus read ahead kb
3) more battery life
4) tethering will work
5) stable network (malaysian only network)
6) maybe attractive boot animation
7) media player upgraded to system (maybe juz for me ....

That what i say, balance, performance and stability combined together

Thats a good news, its even superior to edgar rom. Try make it more superior.

Ur da best, i will make a good guide on how to flash and post it here, but after i try it first.

be proud on urself, even lil bird can fly higher if they work harder than eagle, if i m not saying that u should change da gif, using da 'x' animation isnt bad, juz da splash screen, a lil bit darker will be enough, how bout black screen with a white or colorful alphabet saying 'GAIA' at da center and with a 'mygingerb' signature at da bottom, simple outside, but interactive inside, coz i didnt judge any book by its cover only, da inside or da content is much more important, post da beta link so i can fix da guide for u, but make it stable enough for testing.

surpassing edgar is not my concern, but it depend on u, if u want to..... and u will to.... dont lower urself, so far, only u re da one in malaysia who do this kind of job, so do be proud on urself, its an easy task isnt it?

i ll upload cm 7.0.2 battery fix nbo, will further da link nextt post, from phantom to cm, thats way to crazy man, phantom a single custom rom, not really recommend flash cm from phantom through zip. wait till i upload da nbo, u got sutlr right? so i dont need to upload it anymore.

if u wanna more space on internal, partition it, i already gav instruction in earlier post, there s a pro and con on it, and already upload whats needed to partitioning sd, so try to read through from earlier post.

retrieve back ur baseband by flashing using sutlr with da nbo i provided earlier, then flash this rom zip, thats happen coz of either u flash from phantom directly to this rom or u or flash using zip without a simcard installed into ur fone

Added on February 7, 2012, 1:10 ambout da sd read kb, i also trying to find da perfect balance for both read and write speed, it seems 3072, not really sure, but its da most perfect and balance r/rw speed, tested more than 50 times with class 4 and class 6 sd, but i still think 4096 is needed, 2048 already perfect for both but...... i prefer superior performance rather than stability. but there is no stability even its more superior isnt it, warrior without sword? thats surely wrong

Ah! yeah, i already remember, its about battery, although u already know, but i will still ask, eventhou i already callibrate da battery not twice, but thrice after all da flashing, it seems when u charge it with sleep mode, da volt will be different, da green led doesnt sync with charging when u using da fone, test it more than 20 times, but i prefer charge it with sleep mode, da volt will jump to 4200+ (overcharge). even charging when u off da fone dont achieve that. Try to look into it

Try to change kernel first, if its occur again, juz wait for an answer as i still investigate about it, it seem ur fone need to wake all da time when connect using usb.

Definitely not driver fault as i also got that error using .32.9# all number kernel and .35.13 kernel now.

My result as for now, not all mi300 affect by that error as my friends fone dont exp that error.

Updates about da bug, bout that debugging mode, totally forgot bout that, sorry, but as for my error, its not bout both kernel and debugging mode, but will solve as i flash it again, thou its a silly error make up by flashing, but it still an error, using this rom quite a while with updated adreno, 4096kb speed sd. Its quite troublesome to update those again, as for me. but its ok.

By da way, i found a really good setting, as my fone can play most HD games for superior fone. but its quite troublesome.

As i wanted ur opinion mr angelictears, how bout this:

updated adreno driver (really hard to adapt to ur rom )
speed increase for all read ahead to 1024 but sd 4096
using s2e with 2gb ext + 512 swap mode
using swapper mode app to increase stability for swap
VM heap 48 mb with boosted ram up to 190mb with ram manager
ext been devide into two 512mb just for swap and 1.3gb for app, as movement of app to sd being restrain and revert back to ext.
internal storage reserve only for dalvik cache, all app but system (system data treated as private data) data goes to first ext as VM
using battery doctor for battery increase, now can play games up to 5 hours at least without stopping
as i only realize recently that all .32.9 kernel doesnt support charging limit system, remember bout charging prob i mention before? that the reason
changing to 2.6.35.13 kernel as .35.14 still not stable with wifi.
clearing system/app folder by uninstall and deleting trash apks that i dont use.
No oc but still can play 3D games. Zombies vs plant is a small matter now

Thats all, still waiting ur update on rom as u promised to updated da codec, thats da last item for me to improve on my cheap mi300, really tired to adapt all da setting back coz of one silly error. Now i will wait for ur opinion, give me feedback bout da pro and con but leave a matter "damaging ur sd" as i ll do anything for da sake of research as u are da dev here. and please, to anyone who wanna to try this setting, please make sure u knew what ur doing as i dont guaranteed it will work. But it work for me

Thats conclude my update report. now i can go sit and relax and watch my anime, really tired finding this setting, and approved it safe to use. Its anime time!

I heard cm will not update cm9 for this cheap fone, disappointing, that what i will said as they prioritize new fone, now its up to u to update it urself mr angelictears, i seen da private dev on xda for this fone, personally, i will help u with all i can, but i m not familiar with codes so if want any help that i can do, just ask it.

Well, as now, is my opinion for ur GAIA, i dont really like if da new GAIA exceed all da limit in da list, i like it more simple, not for advance user or premium or free, or anything, da present GAIA is better, updated adreno n increasing sd cache prefereble.

My opinion is, do not put any extra application (free or premium app) for da next release for public (for premium is ur choice, its ur rom after all), if anyone desire any setting to fit their user, juz ask me or u here, and i will gladly help, but if u do all da thing for us, we will be lazy to "improve" (i would prefer da word "coward", but thats too rude), any app can be found or buy, its a matter of want or not, thats all.

So, please dont restrain urself, juz make it as simple as possible, no need to improve anything that not necessary. And thanks a lot for ur explanation, and i m sorry coz i m not listed in one of ur donater, as i m only working by myself, my company went bankrupt last year so i m quite struggling to live, luckily i m still not married

Anyway, still waiting on ur release, glad if i can be any help.

actually no current perfect guide for this one, i just copy these file into system egl. No guarantee it will work, i myself try almost 30+ times with mostly failed, so i dont really recommend to do it,but u free to try, u can google da file by typing da name or extract it from edgar rom. da path of da files already given below, but remember, if something wrong, dont blame me.

Added on February 16, 2012, 4:44 pmforgot to say, if u failed, bootloop or no reboot and fone hanging will occur.

if success, try to quadrant, u ll see da 2d performance will reach 32-40 fps (second simulation) and 3d will reach 20fps (second simulation) at its max.

it will allow u generate higher vram on ext for gaming purpose, so 3d games(only hvga, only certain hd games with high performance can play as hd need more than 35+ fps to operate) can be play without even oc. i already given da guide to do gaming mode before so u need to back to da past

as i said before trying, dont be stingy, go buy urself class 6 or clasd 10 sd with higher capacity, maybe it ll cost u a lot, but as long as u keep da receipt, u juz need to claim for new if its broken. and can be used to all device nowadays, its a great bargain isnt it?

i got some question,maybe its silly question comin from me,but i need confirmation
1)if i partition my sd to ext using cwm rec,n i choose swap (lets say 64mb),do i need to use swapper apk?
2)or do i no need for any apk as i already swap using cwm?
3)how do i know da swap partition is in use?any app provide da info
4)i use cwm to partition my sd to ext,in s2e there is option to mount ext as ext4 without journaling,is it i need to use (let say minitool) app to partition my sd to ext4 using it first?
5)is it chainfire safe to use?

sorry if i ask too many stupid question as i da one who create a guide for partitioning,juz ask for more confirmation n safety so i can create a more safety guide for anyone who need it. thanks

anyway, actually, i research a bit while waiting ur reply, so da explanation caught easily on me.

ok, here da situation, my fone now quite ok with class 4 sd, no prob at all, no loop reboot, no remounting or not mounting or anything, i realize that my swap partition made in cwm is standstill coz no changes seen.

before ur exp above, i try this setting:

1)partitioning sd with cwm recovery with 512mb ext with 0 swap
2)enter da rom n open minitool, mount sd to pc and detect sd with minitool
3)force da ext partition into ext4 with minitool
4)force da fat32 with 8192,reformat and force android to detect it through cwm recovery mount and remount section(it seem if u format with our pc, da fone will detect da sd as error or broken sd)
5)after that, using swapper (sys apk) to and swap part of da ext with swapper (128mb).
6)using titanium backup (sys apk) to see if da swap is success and using s2e with ext4 without journaling and advanced mode turned on.
7)removing app, private app (though i never use it), app data and download cache into ext.
8)using Autokiller Memory as default (sys apk) with optimum preset on (40,50,60) with battery tweak using da same app
9)using sd booster and upgrade da value to 4096 and also put it on sys apk
10)reboot n see da differences.

da different doesnt see much, but without using chainfire i can play (lets say) plants vs zombie without any trouble or memory deficiency detected. Many games like lord of darkness, and street fighter also does not hav problem loading it (though street fighter are too big in term of app data download so i need to disable da sound or use earphone to make it efficient.

been using it since early this week, its been 3 days now and my battery can last 4 hour with playing plant v zombie without stopping with sound turn on.

how bout it? i mean, da setting above in ur point of view, is it safe? i been using .32.9 kernel, but no remount or no mount occur in my sd or ext.
