@harriss
3d gaming not really connected to kernel,but try using #37 kernel, maybe that will help.

@harriss

it doesnt really matter isnt it?

Added on December 15, 2011, 1:23 pmbut personally, i did like to inform angelictears to update his rom, its not that i wanna rush him or what, but mygingerb gaia really really need to be fix, i know some of da bug cause by kernel or etc, but u may lose some of ur rom fans coz out there. blaming 100% on kernel isnt right isnt it?,

Nowadays people rushing for tech and dev even our friend here like mr harriss hav de urge for a better.

for anyone here who really satisfied by gaia in this form, congrat guys, u r real fans. smile.gif

but i prefer mygingerb gaia fits its name GAIA.

Added on December 15, 2011, 1:29 pmsorry if my words here offend u mr angelictears, if u got anything to add to me or scold me. let me know here, i ll always around, at least once a day here.

but as for now, enjoy ur christmas break. biggrin.gif

@harriss

i think u should stop worrying bout da benchmark result, u know ur own fone ability, dont compare with other, coz only ur urself know da best, eventhough da result differ....

Hi all,

@ terry

I will try to update it when I'm back from my family trip. Currently I'm planning on re-sync my git / source code from cyanogenmod from scratch so I can focus on revamping Gaia better then it is now, as you all know that Gaia is an update to the Original Mygingerb 1.0.3. So yeah, I'm planning on making Gaia from scratch, improving overall OS. I'm also planning on making new changes to the OS, and also introducing new Launcher for Gaia, but still it's not confirm as it still on early development, UI also will be revamp from source. Again expect longer development time to perfect it.
I am aware that there's a trend on the latest driver mod for Adreno 200 (graphic chip used in z71 variant) for msm7x27 chipsets. I may or may not include it on the next update as I am considering whether is it worth the battery drain or not, I will however included the mod after I am sure that it will have any negative effect on our phone, or I may mod the driver myself. Other then that, I am still waiting on ICS code to ripe, again it is not sure if ARM6 chipsets will be supported or not.

As for MIUI port, I managed to make an early alpha port with all the necessary libs and modules loaded, although until now there are no success on making it to boot, will try to build several port to test in the future. (right now I'm resting my phone)

@all

Also thanks for the support guys biggrin.gif Couldnt done it without you guys biggrin.gif

(I remembered that someone ask about why don't I post the ROM on XDA or other forums, well simply put that I wanted to promote my local board lowyat.net, and as we all know XDA won't allow anyone to post as a developer unless I am a regular member, with posts above 6 or 10 which I am lazy enough to do tongue.gif All and all, I think lowyat.net is a good platform for me to use as a discussion board at the same I'm using my local platform which I am proud off. biggrin.gif)

Owh and for those who are wondering, I will be going to Penang for my family trip biggrin.gif so feel free to suggest me places to go biggrin.gif

Also, finally I have the urge to open up my own twitter account, so feel free to add me there (twitter.com/_angelictears) biggrin.gif

nice answer

Added on December 17, 2011, 4:24 pmright from da scratch.....that nice, so i ll wait for da revolution of GAIA.anyway,eventhough adreno 200 new driver rocks,but as i tried flashing eav 7.2,it seem that nothing really change, infact, it burdened da cpu,too much force closes.right now i m testing eav7.2,compare with urs,there is one thing for sure,3d performance quite amazing on that,try improving GAIA on that term also,wiithout burdening da cpu

bout da new launcher u said above,good luck on that,but da stock launcher is da best for me, but boot animate and splash screen need to be replace.is it ok?

and also,here report on comparement with ur GAIA (with#37)and Eav7.1

eav7.1
1.battery life increased
2.3d performance increased
3.smartassv2 more accurate
4.still a bit unable to stabilize as sudden reboot always occur
5.fast wifi detection
6.in case of adreno 200,cpu and ram hav extra burden.
7.sd sometimes lose track in setting.

i think thats all, use it as reference.and, eav 7.2 hav really nice splash img and boot animate,simple yet attractive.

Added on December 17, 2011, 4:28 pmanyway.i heard bout da legend P.Ramlee home is there,try visiting there.quite a man for some legendary actor and director. biggrin.gif

i do use papago, but sometime i just wanna know where i am and somemore you can search for place in google map on PC and star it then it will sync to the google maps on mobile straight away. its just my GPS not the same anymore. dont get fix as fast as when using previous CM7 roms

The only problem I have so far is the phone will reboot itself if I'm installing too much apps (over 40 apps) I don't know which apps causing this. Maybe this is apps problem or maybe this is ROM problem. Battery life is much more better than stock rom after I calibrate the battery. Now can last for 2 and half days for moderate use (SMS, call, light surfing using wifi)

Thank you for your feedback.. the reboot are caused by limited ram. As we know mi300 or any other z71 variant have a limited 256mm of ram with some ram space reserved for the android itself leaving the device with 178-180mb of usable ram depending on kernel. So yeah some heaving task such as installing 40 apps at a time are quite demanding for our phone. I tested that maximum app installation are 17 without crashing and can increase if swap are used with app like swapper2 or droidswap.
