I am currently testing Edgar's #37 kernel, it seems that it is a second perfect match kernel for the Gaia. Almost all bug like orientation slow update and several minor problems are fixed with this kernel, and I am pleased to say that edgar is doing a great job and will include official support for #37 kernel for Gaia.
Do note that Wi-Fi connect in sleep mode are not possible as it requires 2.6.35.x kernel.

Ah, about that, I am currently migrating my data to other workstation, MIUI is still in experiment stage so I am not focusing on that now and ICS are still raw and under develop for the z71 variant phone or any other MDPI phones (many others are also experiencing severe bug with ICS) so no final word on that till January 2012.

On Gaia, I do indeed experimenting with several code on several bug fixes.
After using edgar's #37 kernel, I found out something interesting, as I said several bugs are fixed if not somewhat improved, some bugs that are thought to be Gaia bugs are fixed also which means that the bugs are related to the kernel used and not Gaia it self.
Note that tethering and battery are also part of kernel bug and not Gaia, although I am improving several codes to ensure 100% compatibility on multiple kernel support.

Nevertheless, future plans for Gaia including major UI revamp, simple things like making the browser address bar in dark colour (much like ICS) to match the status bar, and several things like stability and performance fixes. An updated driver for adreno 200 will also be included in next release. Other things such as Wifi, touch screen and orientation/accelometer depends on the kernel, so not much can be done there.

As for Gaia homebrew kernel, it's still under process, developing a kernel is not as easy as developing the ROM it self. So bare with me here.

I'll try to be active as often as I can.

anyway, if u got any update on gaia, dont forget to upload here or on ur blog, as for me, keeping da stock launcher are necessary but can u upgrade da performance of ram, cpu and vg support(coz i did like to watch movies with higher resolution for quality purpose)? and can i suggest that u separate or throw away all da useless system apks bundle with cyanogen like pico tts or voice dialer? maybe its necessary but its not like we using it daily. as for now i hav thrown away almost 60% of system apks and freeze 15% of da remaining to make sure they dont run in background when in sleep mod to achieve longer battery usage so i can spare from using taskiller

bout da #37 kernel, i've noticed da difference by using it, but somehow its not really fix da bug, try to use it more longer and maybe u will see da feedback, if nothing happen then maybe its juz me

goodluck on brew~ing da ingredients and dont forget to add a lil spice on it, asian do like spicy thing isnt? and dont worry, i will try to 'bare with u' for a lil longer, so please take my tiny and selfish request above into consideration.

1)flash cm7.0.2 battery memory fix.nbo
2)boot recovery without reboot to rom & do wipe on dalvik and cache partition
3)flash to gaia using cwm then reboot recover again
4)dont know why i will flash again to gaia.zip which means double flashing.
5)after that i wipe dalvik and cache partition
6)reboot again to recovery and flash da kernel
7)factory reset and reboot to rom
*8)rather than factory reset on step 7, i recommend u choose power off on cwm and do master rest by cam+red and power, that should wipe ur battery stat and refresh ur fone like a new stock rom flash on it.

that how i do it without any problem occur.but #37 can oc to 806 and i hav test on 2 mi300, new and after 1 year use, da new one will hang after u oc to 806 and even after reboot.

double flashing is unknown, but my mi300 will stable after double flashing da rom. dont know why and how.somehow if u flash from other than mygingerb u will get those problem listed here

Added on December 8, 2011, 4:04 amactually i m quite sick of flashing, wanna rest for a while....a long while.....i m really sick right now, 39°,so wanna rest......, #37 kernel is also kernel,its fix wifi, so....nothing to be change of.

and bout da gps, its a known bug to cm.so not worth mentioning here,it still can be use. but maybe angelictears kind enough to fix it on his update next.try pursue him to do it.

i think u shouldnt do that, as u already know, root and flash void the waranty, at least make sure their customer aware of that.or make a backup of da stock rom

It's been a while

Just a notice that I will be inactive from 23rd to 30th Dec, cuti2 Malaysia

Hmm, it's good that MYgingerbread have support till now, in fact for the Gaia to be an official ROM is quite an honor to me
But as Terry said, users must be notice that that it ave custom ROM preinstalled and the shop should provide pre-warrantee, for example that the shop should take responsible on flashing stock ROM before send it to CSL.

I wonder if someday MYGingerbread will be an official CSL ROM.

Other then that, Gaia update will be delayed for a while as I am on holiday, and furthermore, my phone need a break from all those testing and flashing.

For those who donated, I can't thank you enough, if there's enough funding, I will sure to get another phone for testing and if can, other devices that users want to have MYGingerbread on their phone/devices.
