Just reflash the ROM and the statusbar should appear, if not, reflash again and repair permission via recovery.

Quick update..

For staters the rom will be optimize for performance on older devices. This means that code optimization is a priority, still resulting longer development period.

Ics is not a priority since android 4.1 jelly bean is out, so older device is left out cold. So gingerbread is what we have left. Though until now gb ia not very optimized yet, I plan to change that.

And a quick fix for long boot is to reflash the gaia 2.0.1 beta with ungaze data2sd. This for me fixes several long boot issue and as an extra a boost in performance. Though note that this requires sd card class 4 and above (though I use class 2 now ). Overall steps are to do a titanium backup, wipe and reflash, flash ungaze data2sd, flash google apps, restore titanium backup, and install the latest v6 script beta. And you'll all set. Pretty stable for me.

Note for v6 script, enable nitro lag nullifier, and use bullet proof launcher.
