mourino would be ok here but won't be any greater.

Tactically I still think he is a shade behind even rafa/kd. No doubt his famous hallmark 'man management' may be miles better but I always suspect he puts more emphasis on mind games to deflect the team/flaws etc

QUOTE(skyz @ Oct 24 2011, 03:39 AM)
and this is the same keeper de gea stopping us from scoring goals after goals at anfield last week... leaked 6 goals out of 7 shot on target in this match... we are not clinical enough in front of goal... most of the time suarez manage to create shooting chances for himself out of nowhere but he always shot them too close to the keeper...  doh.gif
*
in situations at times, it may be proper to pass to a team mate. sometimes within the 6 yard the attention (defender marking) & the keeper (anticipates or close out he angles).

suarez is pretty good in tight spaces, but the rush to shoot thereafter would probably be restricted, (given the scenario above). The ball can travel faster, so accurate passing & probably only to suarez at the end to finish (not to him & him do all the work to shackle the defender, twist, turn, twist & find opening for a shot. He'll be likely on target but conversion as a goal isnt as high. (as stats will probably show)

So what's your remedies of getting results? A lot of faith and prayers? Dude, money is the answer in winning nowadays it seems. Look at Chelsea. They spent shitload of money and they won the title. Now look at Man City. Ada wang ada goal. This is not the old Liverpool anymore. All the big clubs have spent a lot of money getting the best players for their clubs. Liverpool need quality players that can fill those big shoes at the club. There's no time for gelling or improvements or whatever you wanna call it. When you wear that red shirt, you are expected to play the shirt. Not let the shirt wear you. So far I'm seeing nothing good by the three. Even though Benitez is not my favourite manager of all time, he does have an eye for quality players, which KD seems to lack at the moment.

Just my 10 cents
*
i dont want to sound like a broken record (by saying give KD time & the opportunity, we are on the way back to try to claim the CL spot). We all share the similar fustrations.

I know the fustrations of having to see the big spend on english players, yet seems so mediocre against opponents. I am too fustrated the fact we released meriles AND having not giving aqualani the Opportuntiy (but picked adam, henderson). even maxi & kuyt appears to play a subdued roles.

my take is KD wants more playing time for the english trio (in the hope of accelarating their lfc experience) & given the "CL spot target" (measely aspirations according to our rival fans) & work on the mid to long term survival of the club. (of which we were close to "hapus" towards the tail end of the texan cowboys reign)

i'm not sure if the english (trio) salaries are lower then the foriegn players even if the transfers are high in general.

there are weak spots in the team, we dont have a strong central duo, nor we have a clinical finisher. (or at least someone to assist suarez's load or play off him)

I liked benitez but I dont want it to be a burden of fans expectations on KD. rafa had his opportunity, maybe in time some where in the future, he could be back.

but now, KD needs the fans support & their understanding of whats path lies ahead. I'm sure he see some weakness & looking to adress them sooner then later. in terms of bridging the turmoil we had to endure & the little steps we take upwards, there is no one better then dalgish at the moment.

i liked it when we were not afraid of anyone even when we had the underdogs tag (under the ex gaffer whom manu fans hates the most)

anyone, anyteam we got to face them sooner of later. it will help us mature our game better.

good brace for suarez!

i think the atttendance average of the london clubs are lower then ours (if i'm not mistaken), yet yeild $$$$ more. *in gunners prior to the new stadium & london/city teams charging slightly higher $ seats.

AND the deficit of around *£56-57million A SEASON against Manu in matchday gate revenue ONLY. AND "it's not about money" its seems when shoving success is the ability TO purchase top key players when needed, not sell, then buy policy < rclxub.gif

^Yeah. He just can't find his place in Chelsea. Anyone saw what Lampard did to him when he came over to celebrate his goal? I feel for the guy, really. But you know, he contributed a lot to our club. He was one of the best strikers Liverpool had and he deserve credit for that. His partnership with Gerrard was brilliant.

As for his Chelsea carrer? Well, I think he'll have better chances playing for other clubs. I heard one of the top Italian clubs has interest in him?
*
yeah, torres is class with us but he was too messed up kid towards the end of his lfc playing days. i suppose cant blame him too much as the two douch clowns kept treating lfc club like pariahs on show for the highest bidders & him (torres) being in a part of the world cup team 'spain' it must be painful not to be part of CL. (even a certain captain ferbegas forced a moved to barca)

suarez is a bountiful of enthusiasm, as he said 'like a kid who loves playing football'. it shows.

No harm in calling it like you see it. Henderson may yet realize his potential but for now I think he's been crap and has yet to justify his price tag. He's shown glimpses of brilliance but these moments are too far and few in between. Having said that, I hope he is an uncut diamond and shines in the next couple of years.

+1

see how much crap lucas took then & how some crap is on the detractors.

In KD we...ok tongue.gif

This might sound whimsical, contradictory or blatantly stupid but I do wonder if RA would consider returning Torres to us at say 1/2 price?
The fella isn't exactly the most popular lad in the team at the moment is he?

Suarez - Torres upfront for LFC anyone?
*
i wouldn't mind* as it was the intention of getting suarez in the first place when emo torres was still wearing the red shirt. but it aint gonna happen for we havent secured a CL spot. (that torres isn't as young & he knows his wish to play at the biggest stage for club football (CL) & it would be a tremendous bonus for himself if it was in a liver shirt)

Now even with a bit more money, we can't attract the bigger english talent, that is truth. why the hell do we need some English talent?? In reality, as i would be the same camp as how rafa believed, if we had some more spare money then, some luck (possibly favourable/kind refs who gives us penalties or favours in games) & some English rub tongue.gif to win the the premier league. laugh.gif (look at how possessed he (rafa) was in trying to secure barry (English talent) when all of us felt we probably had a better midfielder in alonso. Again if we did had the funds, & didn't adopt the policy "sell first before purchase" we'll probably have a proper squad even at the bench with either starting first barry or alonso OR both on starting line up. that's all academic now, read it as a jest for what i wrote about "English" talent. biggrin.gif cool2.gif

why did KD fly back in effort to secure downing's signing, why did KD took pains to chauffeur adam into melwood, why did carrol companied KD to watch a concert together? call it 'man management' (for what was deem lacking by fans of the spainish gaffer), scouser's hospitality whistling.gif but as in any top level manager, KD wants to show they are welcomed. scenario of today's top level football, boy hood love for a club plays second to a club to pays better salary, first team football & opportunity to play in highest arena (opportunity having qualified in CL, +point), to win trophies; if it come in a club he loves; it's a big(ger) bonus.

That's the reality we have in liverpool fc, everyone in the club knows that, carra n gerrard have spoken the need to return to top 4, qualify for CL. able the build a new stadium or re-develope anfield; to sustain a growing club, long term, & in light of the $$ have been thrown about to secure top talents.

stay positive, lfc lads. Anything now is most definitely better then uncle roy. we are work-in-progress. To say sack KD now is maniacal. and please stop comparing with rafa managed lfc in regards to vis-a-vis' better or not against such teams.

*even as some of us wished, it would be most definately a miracle>wishful thinking. cool2.gif

no, we have seen successful teams with goalkeepers as captain.

we dont have someone who dictate & command the midfield. someone besides gerrard.

lucas is an option but too modest, does things but the book, nothing extraordinary to hold the midfield. adam, henderson ? no leadership qualities.

no one in the current lfc squad who could lift the team, who seems to have the something extra at times, who has the stroke of magic, that x-factor when situation arises.

nope. i dont see it in lfc squad now (besides the aging gerrard, whom seem to have & carried far-far too much for us & our total reliance/dependance on the few of him. in short we have too few carra, & gerrard, at times when torres was on fire)

we were a slightly above mediocre team made to performed top team challenging for the championship..
wait.. i sound i like echoning our ex gaffer.

but you guys know what i meant.

KD believes back then, thats how the great liverpool performed. a bunch of semi talented guys, nothing too overly special, maybe 2-3 but they had the heart to play magically for liverpool.

taking into account of dailymail's writings, you mean MU players call one of their own with "N" word?

if you admit, as in MU admit it officially, then Suarez is as 'guilty' as such.

Until it is proven it is a N word.
From what I interpret, it is a word commonly used in South America but offensive in England. But not revealed what word is that.
*
it probably the D word, evra is not pleased when its not from his own team mates whistling.gif

QUOTE(Duke Red @ Nov 17 2011, 01:13 PM)
Glad you brought this up. I myself am wondering why you lost see it fit to say something about us everyday without provocation when we aren't considered worthy rivals?

Now let me look into this article.

http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/sports/2011-1...nt_14111071.htm?

So the FA has decided to charge Suarez over an alleged racial comment and Suarez is still pleading "not guilty". If indeed he did use the term, "Negrito", as alleged by Evra, then he is guilty regardless of how acceptable it is in South America. This is after all England, where anti-racism sentiments are strong. Forget the allegations (I like how often this word is used a lot in this case) that his manc buddies call him the same name. It's a case of "only my friends can call me that". It is true however that the term, "Negrito" is indeed a term of endearment in South America.
However Suarez should be sensitive to the fact that those from other continents may take offence to it. If he did utter the word, I think it was more out of naivety than hostility but should be fined nonetheless for when in someone else's house, we should respect their rules. I can understand him not wanting to please guilty though especially if he didn't mean it as an insult. It's what I would do and if anyone here tells me they'll plead guilty to a crime they didn't intend to commit, then you're a bigger man than me. This is all assuming the allegations turn out to be true.

Wonder what the outcome of Terry's case will be now given that there is alleged (here's that word again) video evidence of him uttering a racist word.

To anyone who thinks these cases are that straightforward, not bothering to do research of reading before commenting, it's why there are people with different intelligence levels around.
*
cool2.gif phew, you must've kept it too close to chest too long.

i threw doh.gif everytime when trolls speak in the house. thank you for lifting the burden too of how i felt when drama such as this is being debated.

I missed the show, but i managed a replay. what i couldn't understand was the substitutions. It seems that we went from Formation A to Formation B and Formation C every time we made a substitution.

I am a pro when it comes to rotation, but clearly the first substitution nearly killed off our game. It was for whatever reason lucky that Johnson managed to score (I mean he can, but he doesn't always score, does he?)
*
we seem a tad stronger with 'foreign' over 'english' lads overall but non the less, it was good johnson nick it late. baffled KD tongue.gif on why GJ did what he did, but he was bought for his attacking support from the back. (sure KD said it in a jest smile.gif )

i think in a way it went according to plan, we play away. no often any team could sustain tempo 90 mins so its understandable chelsea came in strong in 2nd (but we could do away lapses). Chelsea is still a reckoned team despite how the critics feel. (partial transitional phase for then)

kudos to bellamy, maxi, adam & lucas.

next week it will be tough game, i hope win this will give something for MC (& mancini) to think about. we too have to be on guard on the silky silva. hope our tricky suarez, nippy bellamy/maxi will offer some headache to their defence (MC)

the momentum will be just about right to catch the pack. somehow i feel the trolls/phantom fans would much welcome our attempt on MC's march next week. whistling.gif
