ok finally able to post my tots on the match. was really hoping for a win as yday(sunday) was a special day for me. looking at the line-up was puzzled to see big andy on the bench after his goal in the derby and manu's line up was pretty defensive. understandable and hats off to SAF if u ask me. he came with a plan n got away win a point when for the past 3 seasons, he came away with zero. he has park(a defensive winger) instead of nani to counter enrique. fletcher and jones to frustrate our midfield and welbeck who is pretty quick against a defensive pairing not known for its pace(carra and skrtel).

hence the first half was pretty slow with both teams not creating much. if u realise, our defensive line were pretty deep, main due to the pace of welbeck and young. gerrard imo, apart from his goal, i think he isnt influencing the game much due to the lack of space, with adam around and lucas in the dm role.. we all know adam plays pretty deep due to his passing ability. i trust kenny will come to a solution soon. whether we will stick with a lone man up front or bring back andy, we shall know next week.

so for those who said SAF was scared/cautious, no. its all tactical. he brought on hernandez rooney and nani and went 4-4-2. yes they got their goal. but in 10 mins, we fashioned out 3 great chances (hendo 2, and kuyt 1) and de gea was brilliant (imo expected tho as i've watched him back in la liga and the u-21 euros), he has the quality to be a solid one tho i hope it wont happen tongue.gif of the 3 chances was really upset with the header by hendo, it was a free header, was so gutted, and the kuyt shot which would have gone in has it be another 10inches away from the keeper.

now. newcastle has really caught my eye. with spurs finally finding their feet and yet still able to draw 2-2. they have been on form. arsenal still yet to convince me, and tho i feel for them, i hope they dont find their rhythm as i really want us back in the top4 ! for now, it looks like spurs and us. with arsenal lingering and prolly newcastle the underdogs. hope we will nick it tho still a long way till next may.

up next norwich, we've known to pulling our socks up when playing against so called 'bigger' opponents like the big 4 or 6 now as they say. against 'lesser' teams like these, are what really matters when it comes to the title/ top4.

finally, was pretty upset with the goal. a lapse in concentration with both carra and skrtel losing their man.. to be honest, i really envy manu having hernandez. he was easily the buy of last season, and he's showing its no one season wonder. no wonder even jose wants him in madrid and he just got a new 5 year contract. reminds me of owen when i first started watching football albeit better in the air.

another donkey, and you go to monash for education ? oh my, i thought they produced high quality educated grads. here we're having a friendly match, partly for charity towards hillsborough and you still want to have a dig at us. i bet you have zero respect for the dead. prolly another glory-hunter who doesnt know shit about their own munich air disaster. lol. funny how they like to post on our thread even when we're having friendlies...

imo, nothing friendly at all with yr banter esp the earlier post which i replied. the one involving the rangers friendly because to me, its a sensitive issue, a sentimental one that involves the hillsborough incident. although i was only born after the incident, i understand how the people who lost their loved ones went through. u wanna talk about banter and giving stick, u may. but not this way. u dont hear us singing songs about the munich air disaster unlike the mancity fans. thats disgusting and classless.

i really feel for carroll. the lad came with an enormous price tag on his back and he was injured... debut delayed. lacking match fitness. was surprised that he wasnt utilised last weekend against norwich, could see he was trying hard to impress tonight. should have scored at least a goal, obvious that he's lacking some confidence right now. hope he'll find his feet soon. pleasing for henderson to get an assist. decent performance and much better one for lucas. agger being fit is a plus. reina's kicking was below par. suarez was himself. could have easily gotten a hattrick. mind you brittania aint an easy place to go. their first lost home this season if im not wrong.

wasnt able to post over the weekend and as much as i enjoy watching mancity whip manu's arse, whats more worrying is the likes of spurs, newcastle and arsenal getting wins when we werent clinical enough to take the game against norwich. 2 points dropped definitely and for those of u who thought that your weekend got better with the 6-1 result, think again. because as for now, it looks like a 2 horse race, or 3 with chelsea in the mix while we're stuck with spurs, arsenal and newcastle. champs league still priority. while winning a cup would just makes the season even sweeter.

worrying part imo, we look like being a one-man team right now. just like van persie for arsenal. hoping for gerrard to get match fit, and downing to find his last season form again. we still need to be more organised and defend btr !

junior hoilett is not unknown. he is to many of us here, but in england, he's already catching the eyes of the big clubs. imo, a decent player who can come good given his talent and pace.

whats worrying me is the accusations hurled at suarez, first the racism one, and now the diving one. some managers even says he goes down to ground too easily. well, i blv in the long run this will hurt the team as refs will be under pressure when it comes to suarez falling down under a challenge or tackle. esp when we play away. plus, his bad temper on the pitch always questioning refs decisions and expecting them to go his way all the time. this would create some negativity towards our team esp considering he's our main man right now with stevie out again !

the boy is getting alot of competitive match time and imo i think ian holloway is a good manager for him right now and he's very much vibrant and more towards man-management.. he looks like he plays further up the pitch for blackpool. i've never watched him back in charlton, but if reports about him are to come true, i think he'll be a key man for us in 3-5 years' time.

i share the same frustrations as you guys. but then again, we are gonna support liverpool thru thick and thin. as least i know they can count on my support for the rest of my life regardless of how the team is performing.

here are my thoughts, we seemed to find it tough whenever we play against newly promoted sides, we lost to blackpool at home last season. i still have faith that carroll and suarez can work together but this is a team game and from what i've seen so far, i blv henderson would come btr when he plays in the middle, and with lucas around covering and helping the back four, that leaves only one spot in the middle. with gerrard out, spearing backup, adam seemed to be the preferred choice. i think adam is alright, decent, nothing spectacular but i dont think he merit an automatic first team place.

adam plus points are only his dead ball kicks and his passing imo. i dont know what else KD saw in him, but as we've seen today, his corners were really poor, hence he didnt make any impact in the game apart from a few good thru passes to downing, and that brings me to downing.

really really frustrated to see him hit his cross straight to vorm, he had space and lots of time, a cut back to suarez might have did the trick for us. he has been disappointing really, considering he's been playing in the bpl and there's no adjustments needed on his part apart from playing with new teammates..so much for the talk that comolli does his scouting thru stats. i hope in the long run, this move pays off.

i hope KD will use bellamy more..
