QUOTE(lolz1120 @ Oct 5 2011, 09:07 PM) Afaik there's no pink spot issue on G set. But we do have a serious bug/hardware defect with the proximity sensor which turns on randomly. And hell yes it's draining battery. Interesting, anyhows, G root should come soon enough, and really, ROMs all don't really matter much, you only really NEED root and TB.This post has been edited by Eiraku: Oct 5 2011, 09:15 PM |

QUOTE(Eiraku @ Oct 5 2011, 08:49 PM) You might have heard right. Even the i9100g section of XDA is filled with... wait for it... Malaysians mostly. no wonder the price drop ..We exhausted our allocated Exynos supply IMHO. I've already seen 3 people using the SGS2 in my school alone (in Kuala freakin Lipis woi), with nary an iPhone in sight. Samsung hyped this one right, really. so the rm1899 model are all i9100G eh.. |

I'm still contemplating whether to flash my phone now or not. Do I follow the exact steps in page 1 and use the correct kernel file? |

The G version already can be rooted. Only thing is no custom rom for the time being :-)QUOTE(xbbshampoo @ Oct 5 2011, 09:17 PM) Do a screen test to make sure everything okay. Forgot the dialler code already. Hope other can help you in that. Also make sure you got I9100 and not the G version as the price is different |

if it's just for rooting, either is okay. preferably use the 1 which is latest than your phone's firmware version. if not, use the closest

QUOTE(lolz1120 @ Oct 5 2011, 09:34 PM) I'm on KI1 stock rom, so should I use KI1 kernel? Not sure how KH4 performs though coz i updated to KI1 on the first day. these insecure kernels are made to be almost identical as the stock kernel, except they add CWM and remove the security for you to be able to root. no significant difference other than that. so dont worry about the performance. just use the 1 with the same as your phone. |

For those using KI3 ROMs, the KI3 CF-Root kernel is actually pretty good to go with. Coupled with Tegrak Ultimate, it really saves battery and is stable as a rock.

What i meant was if KH4 performs better than KI1 then i might flash my device back to KH4 stock rom and use the KH4 kernel. Anyway, Do i have to disable kies completely? I see some guides saying that u need to install kies. |
