Guys, any idea where I can get the stock rom package for G version?

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278

This one here has KI1 but not malaysian firmware, i think brazil instead.

Intratech is always against pit file unless you really need it. I am not sure as well, but all my previous flashing using odin i do not include pit file.
*
ok thx for clarifying that. smile.gif
megaupload really loading slow. LOL
Btw if I flash back stock rom it will wipe my data? So i should backup using kies or tb?

Coz i have 3 options now to remove superuser
option 1: unroot

option 2: root explorer > delete superuser.apk

option 3: flash original rom

Options sorted by priority, really hope i don't have to take the trouble to flash back stock rom though.

Hmmm .. lemme check that app out.

As for the battery, there's that samsung 2000 mAh battery, right? Ever thought of trying that?
*
Yes there is, but apparently it doesn't fit international versions well, some users have already reported that. Guess it's meant for korea version.

Backup. It depends on whether the file is wipe or non-wipe. But anyway just backup to be safe.

Can kies back up my apps and settings?

nope..wipe is not format your internal SD..wipe only wipe data..so TB data still inside your SD..unless your do repartition then it will format your internal SD

one time i backup my contact using kies..thought that i might able to retrieve is back..once i flash using odin, i unable to connect to kies already...so better used TB to backup..for contact, used sync with your gmail
*
U mean if i flash stock rom with odin i won't be able to connect to kies anymore?

Flashing stock rom will be my last resort, will try to unroot it and see if superuser goes away.

I have downloaded the KI1 stock rom package by intratech, which is a 7z file, after running the extraction there's only one tar file, shouldn't there be 3?

Its all in 1 package. If you open up the tar file you should see the rest. Just put the single tar under pda.
*
Okay thanks! so flashing back to stock rom will remove superuser but the device remains rooted, is that correct?

I think both SU and root will be removed.

you will lost your root after you flash the stock rom....

Alright, if that's the case I'll just flash the whole stock rom before sending for warranty. Anyone has experience of sending a rooted phone with uncleared counter to SC? The guys from digi told me that they will not look into the counter and all, they'll just check for the triangle on boot screen.

Guess I'll go for the jalan imbi one instead since i'm going back to sunway on friday. In case they might take longer, which i really hope is not the case. :/
