Okay, keep me posted.

btw, if I use CWM to backup, do I still need to backup via titanium, sms backup restore, google calender/.

CWM back up: you back up the whole phone, like you clone them. crucial for any problem after loaded the new ROM. you can just revert back to your initial setting if the new ROM cannot load completely/ stuck at boot screen.

titanium back up: you can back up all your apps and reload these apps again after you load new ROM. bear in mind, you need to download the titanium back up apps again after you done the full wipe. the titanium back up will automatically detects your previous back up. just run the batch back up for easier process.

hahas many people said custom rom or UV, but in my opinion, your symptoms i also happen before a few times, and i can tell you its an app/widget/launcher problem, i dun experience it anymore nowadays, maybe i deleted a stupid app
*
hahaaha, that's one more thing. may be you installed some shabby apps, your phone don't like it so it keeps booting or hang. try uninstalled the recently installed apps. these might help to trace which apps is the culprit. works for me before i use custom ROM.

guys, now i'm using batista foxhound 2.1 + Abyss kernel 1.8.1. this is a BLN enabled ROM (i disabled it on BLN free apps).

i've faced some weird moment when my back and menu key became unresponsive. i cannot click on them. but my phone was not hang, still can open apps through the touch screen.

the keys will become ok after i wait at least 2-3 minutes. does this happen because of the BLN was disabled?

Getting bored of Stock Rom time to change.  biggrin.gif

Need advice from all Sifus,

From my understanding:
1. Flash Siyah 1.8 to get root access (Source: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1263838)
2. Install TB (Source: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.k...=search_result) to backup all my apps
3. Install Touch x-power+ (Source: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1141201)

Is that the proper way of not getting any data loss. thank you in advance.  notworthy.gif

you can use CWM after root to make back up of your full system before you load any custom ROM. just in case you encountered any problem during the loading ROM process.

So if i flash siyah kernal, there is no worries of data loss? As i read in his thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1263838) he did not mention that it will wipe.
*
no problem. the best to wipe is when you load the whole ROM.

full wipe when loading new ROM= wipe user data+partition cache+dalvick cache

loading kernel= wipe dalvick cache

all of these are done through CWM.

*CWM comes with the superuser apps after you root your phone.

for TB back up, its ok to install the apps and run the batch back up to back up all of your apps.

after you load new rom, you can install TB again and reload all of your apps from previous ROM
