Hi guys. Need to seek your advise. After renovation, house filled with sand and debris. Before start to paint, should i sweep up all the sand 1st? Just afraid when wind blow and they doing painting, will the debris kind of stick to the wall that has paint?

u just answered ur question. it's better to clean up before painting as it ensures that ur paint will be clean and not messed up because of foreign objects such as dust, debris, flying papers from somewhere...
and make sure all doors n windows are closed before painting, u dont want anything blowing rite.

sweep the loose debris up, wont take long. no need to mop the floor yet.

it gets hotter the higher off the ground you are. shakehead.gif don't worry lah once u clean the sand off, prob solved.. newspapers won't blow around that much, even if it does, can tape them down anyway.

Just clean the floor as much as you could. Then only painting.
It does affect, but the effect is very small. Don't worry about it too much.

I m planning to wash my whole house before proceed to the painting stage, haha plaster ceiling n concrete top really create a lot of dusts n dirt all around the floor n wall,my painter keep remind me to clean it nicely before start painting, maybe he don't want to waste the time on helping us clean as his main task is to paint only
