Guys what color to use for checking dead pixel on the screen?
*
WHITE and BLACK for goodness, cause some pixel stucked in white or near white that makes u hard to identify it. The warranty only cover for dead pixel ONLY if it exceeded some amount, otherwise its just "NORMAL" for them.

Get the 64Gb, mine after near-to-1-month have left 8Gb(bought a 64Gb). 1 advice, either get the highest capacity, or get the lowest biggrin.gif 32Gb would be nice if u're hardworking to do housekeeping, i'm a lazy worm.. LoL biggrin.gif

16Gb recommended for light users biggrin.gif

My gf download the whole TVB Hong Kong drama into the ipad2!! Haven't even finish watching the downloaded one, she already have another series of drama. Me myself keep my songs from the golden oldies age until the most current one, around 2k songs, all-time-favourite songs. Its like my backup for songs biggrin.gif keke..Not to talk about all these games with high capacity.

Gotta love my ipad more than words. If someone hate it, he must be out of his mind.

I still prefer watch tvb drama in pc...21"LCD ... Or even with laptop, 14" .
*
She watched it in the car when we stucked in jam while I'm driving.

Btw, back to TS, depend on urself, if u're hardworking to do housekeeping, then 16Gb would be ur choice, but for near future best bet, I'll recommend go for higher capacity. More is alwis better than insufficient.

Thanks!  I like doing housekeeping one...
I think my case will be like yours  smile.gif ok, better get 32GB
iPAD2 can play TVB rmvb format ah ?  blink.gif  or u mean other format ? cause I usually watch the rmvb format one  sweat.gif
*
Not sure wat format is that, but its downlaoded using some free apps, and its not tranferable to PC. Not sure if we can do it via JB, i dun have a JB ipad since it was delivered in iOS5.0~ sad.gif

Now 3G or not 3G ? RM400 different oh  sweat.gif
May be get non-3G, if oversea needed, then only buy MIFI.
Locally, at Home/Work/Cafe can use WIFI.

What do u think ?
*
I can only share my opinion, hopefully no one flame my ass out.
3G version PROS:
1) u can connected wherever you are with a good 3G broadband,e.g : waiting for someone at the roadside or when get stucked in jam. You can check other discussion thread for the best 3G suitability which we will never discuss here.
2) You get A-GPS chip build in biggrin.gif Its a good thing for traveller.

3G version CONS:
1) JB is harder for ipad2 3G.
2) Without JB, u can't use ur ipad to tethered other device, or use it as a hotspot.

Wifi version PROS:
1) Cheaper and more affordable biggrin.gif
2) Still work the same regardless of the on-the-go online biggrin.gif
3) Can alwis use MiFi devices to replace the on-the-go online style with extra budget biggrin.gif

Wifi version CONS:
1) Not sure if it have JB(regardless of tethered or untethered) at this moment for the latest iOS.
2) Not so convenient for online as you have to bring extra device around to go online(very subjective and depend on owner preference).

Not exactly a cons, even with JB wifi version, it doesn't do wifi tethering/hotspot.  tongue.gif

Oh yeah, forgot to put that on the wifi part, or perhaps i shouldnt put that from the beginning. my bad for misleading info. SORRY ALL.

Normally...... will later can JB the 5.0.1 one ?

May I know what is the one biggest reason to JB an iPad2 now ?

To do JB an iPad2, is it difficult & time consuming too ? How if I send to other ppl or shop do it ? How much they charge me ?
*
Hha.. I thought I mentioned above, for more information on this, u can try to surf on ipadforums.net where they really discuss is in details smile.gif charges are very subjective, depend on your area's market and yes, u can alwis gain more information by google-ing.

Edited:-
My bad, it was mentioned in another thread. Customization is the biggest advantage, and also u're able to download apps which can't be download from apps store. Well, misuse it would lead to piracy, u wanna become a pirate???

can i transfer my apps from my current ipad 4.3.3 to new ipad iOS 5 ?
*
Definitely you can, update iOS change nothing on apps u purcahsed before.

Bear in mind, once u upated to iOS5, u won't be able to revert back to 4.3.3, hence it means that currently u won't be able to JB. iPad2 only can be JB on 4.3.3 currently. Reminder for u.

ohh..actually its another unit of mine. 2nd iPad 2.

can i transfer my 1st iPad2 apps to my new iPad2 ?
*

Yes if u're using the same iTunes account. Downloaded and purchased apps are kept with iTunes account, not with ipad. iPad was just a device to use it biggrin.gif Login ur App Store with the same account and u can alwis redownload it.

From here, u know that purchased apps are transferable among frens' ipad, but the problem comes in when u need to upgrade, u nit password. Alwis keep your own account P&C.

i have wifi loss problem. sometimes, when i open the apps store, it says that can't connect to apps store. no battery drainage problem. already connected to wifi

I do experience this from time to time too. Don't know if this is the well-knowned bugs of wifi/3G signal loss or not, still in question marks "????"

is it worth to get ipad 2 now... or new version is coming out anytime soon?
*
My advice as i given to others. IF you already got the budget, then go get it now or never. What's the point of keep on waiting for newer generation when u can only get it 3-4 months after its official launching, considering 3 months fater launching in US, then only will official launch in Malaysia. Yet, u still have to wait for stock and fight the queue. By the time, u would say, "Aww, lifetime left 7 months, better wait for ipad4". When i pad4 launched, same thing happened.. then u would start thinking, ipad5, ipad6...ipadX!! You'll never get one eventually. Hahaha..

Budget is good, you need it now, then GO GET IT. Never too late, never too soon to have one biggrin.gif Good luck for waiting ipad7, man~

Lol why waiting so long if already launch... Just take a leave and wait in line for sure get 1... It just dont be too lazy to wait inline and whinning cant get it... Duh....
*
Then that's a good choice, since u're not in urgent to use it biggrin.gif Good luck in getting a good front queue after waiting for another few more months.

oops sorry mod, well i just need some reasons to get it for here, like cause both of us uses an iphone4s, both also macbook pro hmm how would an ipad help or facilitate or be useful to her?
*
Bed time surfing and video streaming, supersized TV remote control, wireless keyboard and mouse for computer and smart TV, erm, to surf on LYN almost all the time??? If u nit it, u have tonnes of reasons, if u doesn't wanna have it, u either have no reason to have it or u have tonnes of reasons not to have it.

Lolz.. Get one and u'll know how much u need or u don't need it, so bang ur luck for her with the basic 3G version first, and u'll see she'll be turning on her MBP only when ipad can't do it biggrin.gif

Wow guys .. how long does it take for you guys to full charge your new iPad ? This is my 1st time charging ... i started at 5% .... after 2 hours only 42% ?????? =.=
*
Its normal. Roughly 4-5 hours for full charge. Make sure u charge before the battery drop below 10%, otherwise ur battery will have shorter lifespan. Its okay to overcharge, but never let it drop to 0%.

Woah crap .. really ? I didn't know that .. damn .. thanks for the advice .. btw ok to overcharge ? Hmm I never over charge my batteries ... got 1 of those timer thinggy .. so usually i record the number of hours for full charge then i time it ..

What about charge half way ? Like stop at 50% ... any side effects ?
*
can charge at any % and stop at any %, no problem. iDevice will auto stop charging once reached maximum of 100%. u know the 100% u see can be not true 100%? once reached 100% on the figure, u can actually let it further charge another 30-60 minutes for a real 100% max charging biggrin.gif

Google Lithium-Ion for more info biggrin.gif

Hey guys, I just bought a new iPad wifi with oem casing. My question is will the iPad overheat it I keep surfing net for few hours and it cover by the PVC casing?
*
Dun worry, ipad not easy to get fried with over-heating issue. It might be warm, but it doesn't lead to overheating issue from my experience of heavy usage from ipad 2 to ipad 3. Of coz, with a full cover casing where air-ventilation might not seems good physically.

Recently i found out my power button not functioning. Can i claim warranty to any apple shop? Or do i need to sent to where i bought this?
*
U may sent it to any authorized Apple reseller, regardless of where u purchase it, may it be from Singapore, USA, Australia or local Malaysia. Its international warranty.
