ipad5 will have similar design like ipad mini (side bezel is thinner)... will make it look slimmer...
other than that, hardware spec should be more or less the same as ipad4...

in my case, i cant wait for ipad mini2 cos just cant stop myself from getting one..
for portability, gaming, reading, its way better than my ex-ipad2 (sold after i got my ipad mini)...

last time, ipad2 is only for home usage.. bulky n heavy... collecting dust most of the time...

1. If you can wait until the third quarter of the year, wait as the new iPad will adopt the same design as iPad Mini which to me is much better looking. And I read somewhere it's thinner and lighter. The specs will be bumped up a little.

In order to do that you need to jailbreak your ipad. Last time we use "winterboard" and add theme to perform this task but not sure there's any other new tweaks that can perform this now.

Not that I heard of,....Apple limitations . Jailbreak is the only option if you really need those features.

Just like you have to jailbreak your iOS gadget, you have to root the android device. So, no difference in this department.
