What I did, use a small nail and hammer lightly on tile to make a dent.
Use small bit to drill through tiles and slightly into wall if possible. Tap and release trigger method so as not to use full rpm. My low-end drill no speed control
Then change to bigger drill bit.

First time, use a broken/spare tile to test few times and find the workable method.
