i've seen tesco rotary hammer for about rm250.. good or not tesco brand?

I think better get Skill 1.. around 300.. At least low-end branded 1.

BTW, this is 2nd time surveying for my rotary hammer. Last time decide not to buy. Now got some budget and some works need to be done so I looking back and luckily found this thread.

My quick survey in Livin depot bangi today

Dewalt 25012 RM 428
Dewalt 25123 RM 555
Makita 2470 RM 529
Makita 2810 RM 740
Bosch 2-26DFR RM 7xx (forgot to write down)

My budget around 600.. Prefer Bosch brand but seems Makita quite cheap.. BTW living depot can as for discount or fixed price?

Just trying Makita 2470.. I mush said, I should get this earlier.. Drilling is now effortless.. even 10mm hole, usually I need to used 5mm 1st with normal drill.. If not, cannot go in.. Now directly using 10mm, the drill go in just like that..

BTW, next tools will be those Bosch Multi-Cutter. Seems like many use.. But hopping for cheaper version maybe from makita if any. Also corded also fine with me.. Any suggestion?

Hehe.. wrong words a, how to explain it.. I mean like drill the value of the drill itself decrease significantly when you use it..

But for something like stud finder it quite reliable.. can use many time without significant wear & tear..

Hope you get what I mean..

I tried drilling earlier but the drill bit won't "eat" into the nail.
It just keeps spinning on the nail head top.
The nail diameter is about 4mm.

better use angle grinder to cut the nail head.

If you already make-up ur mind on which model to get.. Just nego through email from multiple online store. Then just get the item at the shop when u in KL.. Online nego most of the time will get u more discount rather go directly to the shop.

Hi,
Need opinion if this good for drill wood, metal, tile or concrete
Black & Decker 550W Impact drill KR554RE
Specifications:
Rated Power: 550 watt
No Load Speed: 0-2800 RPM (Vari-speed)
Chuck capacity: 13mmReverse Rotation: Yes
Max Drilling Capacity (Wood: 20mm, Steel: 10mm, Masonry: 10 mm)
Cable Length: 2 meter
Standard accessories:Chuck key,
Auxiliary handle, Depth gauge, Drill bit kit set.

I plan to use for curtail rail, roller bind to wall. Saw some comment posted that at least min 550w will do,
Please advice

Go for rotary hammer than impact drill. It's like 10x better.

even 700w bosch or black & decker impact drill no match even with cheapest skill rotary hammer.

Test the blade last weekend.

The blade done a good job. Cutting through the cement and brick effortless. But not the machine. The 12V circular saw don't have enough power to cut fast. The battery doesn't last long too. Small job like what I do is ok. But big job, you have to consider others.

The line cutting is straight and nice. Make the  chipping of the trunk easily with the HR2470 Makita.
