Nowdays most tools are made in china, even sata is manufacture in china, heck expensive brand like SnapOn also manufacture in China already. With good QC and material i think it will still be topnotch...

QUOTE(cgamer @ Oct 16 2014, 09:20 PM) Hi bro, get the new Bosch GSR 1080-2-LI. at less than RM300 it's a bargain. the 14.4 and 18v models is quite big. well it's big to me. but some people might find the impact capability a good thing to have. just don't expect much from a cordless impact drill though.I just wondering why bosch GSB10,2-2-li ,10.8v compact and impact drill not available in Malaysia. Wondering is the model outdated or latest version? i find the 14.4 and 18v too big and hard to move around, especially when you have to bring it up and down the stairs, inside the roof structure and the such. And some DIY hardcore have more tools than workshop it's not unusual. i have an air compressor too. together with a hvlp and lvlp system.I break some socket and spanner from the china unknown brand before. Especially size 14, and 17 that I used it the most frequent. The spanner can turn from U shape to V shape too. yet i don't spend hundreds on socket and wrenches. frequently used sockets yes i buy good quality ones. but less frequent ones i use average quality. usually king toyo or similar grade which could be had for very cheap. |

Small change but overall same. it's not. it's a new model, with less features. hence it could be sold for less than RM300. i bought the original 10.8 for RM500-ish.10.8v is consider old model. the 14.4 is 1.3kg, the 18v is 1.4kg. the 10.8 is only 1kg. and there's no bulging battery that sticks out from the hand grip. for some usage in a small space, like assembling kitchen cabinets or inside a drawer it makes a lot of difference. |

I mean the battery voltage. 10.8v is old. Which mostly already upgrade to at least 12v. the 14.4 is 1.3kg, the 18v is 1.4kg. the 10.8 is only 1kg. and there's no bulging battery that sticks out from the hand grip. for some usage in a small space, like assembling kitchen cabinets or inside a drawer it makes a lot of difference. I have this set from the first model which many yrs back. Very handy. https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2234276/+40?hl=Bosch |
