Even if you dont use that often, get the rotary hammer drill. Those impact drills practically useless on concrete. Takes ages to drill one hole.

Already got the HR2470 @RM480, satisfied with the drill's performance, definitely faster than my friend's bosch drill, it quite powderful too  brows.gif

The Makita spec abit confuse.

For this Makita HR2470, Blow per minute 0-4,500bpm, Net weight 2.6kg (5.7lbs), Input 780W. Lowest price is RM480.

For Makita HR1830, Blow per minute 0-5,000bpm, Net weight 1.7kg (3.7lbs), Input 440W. Lowest price RM488.

Given this spec, seems like HR1830 are more value to buy. Does the Blow per minute is equal to the force of hammer? But if using power 780W compare to 440W, HR1830 is only half of it.  rclxub.gif

Ya that's why I don't want to look at specs. I'm buying purely on the review by others biggrin.gif

Ozak, OT a bit. I saw a new shop at bandar puteri near Giant side, that last row of new shoplots. The name is See Wide. They sell all electrical stuff. I bought all my clipsal switches from them at their main in Loke Yew
Looks like ppl are opening their branches here in Puchong. Even CT Hardware got branch here

Hei, thanks. You mean the giant right side inner side shop right ?

There is really a lot of electrical shop in puchong. Not difficult to get a thing. But difficult to look for quality 1. Cause almost all are selling same thing supply by 1 supplier.

Example I look for a simple Din rail. But went to 5-6 electrical shop. All selling same low quality very thin soft Din rail. At the end no choice have to go pasar road KL. Sigh!

it's at all the banks side. You go till the end and it will meet with that cross junction.
Same row at Original Kayu. This See Wide shop very different from your normal dirty dark shop. But I see it's still new. Red cloth still there and half stock only.

yesterday I almost pulled the trigger on the Makita HR2470 and Bosch 1080-2-Li cordless driver at Lazada. The price wasnt cheaper but after using a Rm100 voucher, both items came to only Rm706. The bosch can be had for around 250.

it's not. it's a new model, with less features. hence it could be sold for less than RM300. i bought the original 10.8 for RM500-ish.

the 14.4 is 1.3kg, the 18v is 1.4kg. the 10.8 is only 1kg. and there's no bulging battery that sticks out from the hand grip. for some usage in a small space, like assembling kitchen cabinets or inside a drawer it makes a lot of difference.

I wonder what's the difference between the 500 vs 300 model hmm.gif
