i need to report you to bosch for abusing the multi tool. LoL

but seriously, you use a mnual dice to cut the thread? man, that's gonna make your shoulders sore
*
this is the reason why it was named multi tool laugh.gif

making the thread is easy....less than 10 turn already kawtim 1 side thread. need to constantly lube it while threading to make it easy..

Paper can be very sharp in the right direction, sometime I get cut by photostat paper.

Anyone know how to clean those wood residue on saw blade using Malaysian way?
My table saw blade, miter saw blade, circular saw blade, band saw blade quite dirty and not cutting well. Need to find a way to clean them.
*
A toothbrush and a blower can do a decent job cleaning the teeth of the saw blade. Just like brushing our teeth..lol

To clean the pine wood resin that stick to the carbide teeth of the blade wor?

Ya wor...i usually brush and blow it off ( using normal blower ). Only once a while i took out the blade and brush it under a running pipe water and wipe or clean with cloth....so far so good.

How long you're using the jawhorse .Noticed you using it to thread the pipe,Is it really sturdy? ,mind for short review. Plan to have one for portable multipurpose workstation .
*
i have it for more than 1 year i guess..sturdy in term of stability, yes. portability, yes. strong grip, yes. but if to thread the pipe, it can't hold the pipe strong enough to prevent it twisting that's why im using the pipe clamp ( the red tool ).

My favourite is still Bosch GBH-18V. I have two units of this. Gotta say "I'm lovin it". Lightweight yet powerfull. Only downside is the rotary pressure seal need to be replaced when worn out.

RM 1700 for solo unit is kinda of expensive. I bought mine for RM 1832 with two batteries.
*
you had 2 unit of gbh 18v ec ! drool.gif thumbup.gif how long will the pressure seal last? and how much does the replacement cost?

bought mine last week, solo for RM980 ( with the box )...if full set RM1599 ( cos this is the last unit with the old pricing biggrin.gif as this unit has been in the storage for more than a year according to the shop ) now new batch cost rm1799 for complete set. i guess for rm980 not so bad huh...made in germany, production date 2016.

When tapping the pipe, the pipe have to get nearer as possible to the clamp side.

Your pipe threading pic remind me back when I tapping alot of GI pipe with the pipe clamp similar to your pic. But different stand.
*
you should have invested in a pipe threading machine instead if got big volume of pipe to thread biggrin.gif brows.gif

last time, some hardware shop do offer pipe threading services...but nowadays, want to find 1 also hard... sweat.gif sweat.gif

Have the threading kit same as your wan. But don't no where is go.

Operate before those threading pipe machine. Very convenient and fast.

I know some hardware shop still provide such service around my area and further a bit. Did brought from them before for custom length with treading.

Probably not much people use GI pipe nowaday. All want use PVC.

Last 2 yrs when ask a plumber to install a filter outside my house. He take more than 1/2 aday to do. A simple GI pipe  modify at the meter.
*
ya wo...many years back, plumber quoted me quite a high price to do some gi pipe modification ( to install water filter ) can't remember how much exactly ( definitely more than rm200 ) and need almost a whole day to do it ranting.gif end up i diy myself with pvc pipe instead.

now with the tools at my disposal, nothing is impossible d biggrin.gif

Maybe due to the  grip material  is  rubber or plastic with smooth surface will caused the pipe to twist. Already saw a lot of possibility can do with the horse. Thanks.
*
very useful especially for door installation....no need another person holding it for you. can also diy some table top and use it with this jawhorse...instant portable worktable at anytime, anywhere you want it rclxm9.gif

still have eg AKTC hardware but the threading charges (both side) almost the same with the pipe cost per meter.

good to know some hardware shop still do the pipe threading...but atks banting is just too far away from my place. transportation cost already more than the pipe and threading charges d sweat.gif

can't recall much how much the rubber seal cost. If not mistaken is around rm 50++ but is a really pain in da @$$ to replace it.

You'll need to replace it when you felt the rotary impact is sluggish but motor spining normally.
new batch RM 1799? sure or not? the last i check with Lazada already hit RM 2k mark due to our currency.
I bought the package so that I've 4 pcs of 3Ah battery pack at my disposal. I use Hilti concrete drill bits as it performs well and reduce the time to drill a hole for wall plugs.
*
rm50++ is still ok for me...i thought it gonna cost more than rm100 biggrin.gif

csm hardware@ lazada is selling for rm1,727 for the complete set shipped. i just can't justifymyself to take anymore extra battery and charger... sweat.gif

already got 6pcs 4.0Ah batteries which can last me drilling, sawing, cutting whole day long smile.gif

Should just DIY. Get the pipe from hardware with thread.

Probably only take 2hr to complete.

Bosch Malaysia should start consider selling more solo version of their batery tools.
*
serious when come to talk about Bosch Malaysia really make me piss off vmad.gif puke.gif

lot of other cordless tool they didn't bring in here to sell e.g 12/18v portable gli light, torchlight etc etc

also most of the tools are made in Malaysia but the selling price is always the double the price with less warranty too ranting.gif

for example, solo 18v jigsaw here selling for RM1200++ !! shocking.gif bangwall.gif i got mine solo for mere RM600 only elsewhere including shipping ! that's why most of my cordless tool are not purchased from Malaysia ! mad.gif

Hello boss, sorry for tagging u in an old post. was looking for Bosch GSB 1300, because I need to spend my Maybank points. If I trade with points, it is about RM255 (not as good as your RM160!). Part is, I wanna use it for fixing conduit and water pipes to the wall, maybe will hit some concrete. Limited choices in Superbuy, you think can work? 1st time landed property owner soon =)
*
occasional use for normal drilling into the masonry or even concrete is definitely not an issue.

my advise is don't waste your maybank point ( + cash rm255 ) to exchange this, lazada is selling for rm269 and not yet less with discount code..

those cheaper alternative drill from mr. diy ( atleast 500w and above ) can also do the same job...unless if you keen to invest in a good and reliable powertool for long term usage, might as well straight get a better one e.g makita hr2470. this one can guarantee self satisfaction when using it.. biggrin.gif

btw, congrats on your new landed home biggrin.gif

thanks for the advice and well wishes!

no it is about 105,000 points which will be equal value to RM255 (400 points = RM1). if RM269 on lazada (and others about RM260 - RM300++) i guess i stick to this 1st. when i get more money i wanna invest on something for wood work.

any advice for GI conduit? i plan to run external conduit like those hispter cafe
*
if no need to pay a single cent ( just using those points ), then it's sure a good deal biggrin.gif

you gonna diy the whole house with gi conduit? it's gonna be a massive massive task sweat.gif if just for a certain corner of the house, it should be fine...

wondering why so many people ( including my clients ) want to have those industrial concept design id for their house and cafe...

you won't go wrong with the bosch biggrin.gif reliability, parts and warranty is more important when come to powertools..

500w vs 550w, i don't see much different for minor usage.
