Anyone here tried sleeving without the heat shrink before? Are there any cons to the heat shrink-less sleeving style?

Not try yet but as per i browsing somewhere you must clamp the sleeve together with the cable into contact pin, thus make the grip less effective (cable will get-off the contact pin easily). But it's will look more clean & sleek when put back into connector  drool.gif ... One solution is soldered the wire to contact pin after finish clamping both cable & sleeve...IMHO  sweat.gif

Found a way where you don't have to clamp it down together. You melt the sleeve down and waste heat shrink instead. LOL.

Was just curious as to whether the heat shrink part on the "outside" has any benefits. Otherwise I might just take the dive and do heat shrink-less style MDPCX. tongue.gif

personally I'd go with pro's kit stuff. can get from meelectron, I think.

get the automatic cable stripper, really worth the while even though might cost a bit more than a normal one.

crimper got a lot, I won't know which to recommend coz I never use before, but if I buy I'd go with the ones from molex, but I don't think can get here.
