hey guys, thanks for the good info. I am doing my sleeving currently, I have 2 questions for now:

1. For this kind of wire which route to another molex from PSU, since they are pair together. do I need to take them off/separate them? if so, how do we separate the same colour pair? it seems quite tight.

2. This one, I cant seems to open it. any tips?

Doom, thanks for the tips on sliding all the connected wire thru the sleeve or heatshrink. not an ez job man.. especially for short range wire between molex connector.

mADmAN, bombman, i had tried to slide 2 pin/staples/some small thingy to both side, but it doesnt seems to unlock the ATX head. my finger pain like hell trying this smile.gif

those removal is kinda expensive isn't? RM35 i saw at the shop the other day.
gonna try again later.

oh, by the way, 1 of my PSU fan doesn't move after i open the PSU to clean the dust inside. it only move when I spin it manually for once. why is it so? any idea how to overcome this?

hey pmmonkey, you got it right. the staple bullet just ain't strong enough for my stubborn 4pin ATX.

i will get the mini screwdriver later and try it out smile.gif
oh ya, I am out of heatshrink, coz 1st time doing it, not good in estimating the length.
I only manage to sleeve 1 bunch of wire, another 1 to go. but heat shrink only left 20%.
any idea what else can substitute this? without proper seal at the end of the sleeve, it will get torn out easily.

I wanna ask some noob question because still new on this sleeving matter, can we remove the casing cable head(connection to power led, use, etc) or we just sleeve it without removing the head?

which shop in lowyat sell the sleeving kit by metres, because I look at ALL IT digital mall, they only got Vizo sleeving kit(one set) for RM39...i'm thinking of buying the small size to sleeve my inside casing cable only... nod.gif

You should remove the head if that restrict you from insert the sleeve and heatshrink smoothly. If not you will probably end up with fugly torn sleeve.

I am in Penang, and I am also looking for sleeve or heatshrink by meter sad.gif

my PSU fan is not working, just now I go ask around a few shop, they dont have it and instead they suggest me to buy a normal casing fan and cut and connect the wire manually.

can that fan be open up?? it looks like all sealed? any pic of a fan being open?
anyway, i bought some tools in a DIY shop just now:
- motor oil, a few drops make the fan revive
- 1 set of RM6.5 multi screwdriever which help me to unleashed the 4pin ATX at last!!! biggrin.gif
with this set of screw driver, I think I can open any molex, 4/6/20 pin ATX smile.gif
- also managed to get 1 meter of black only colour heatshrink from an electronic shop.

any idea if I need to plug this (6 pin Auxiliary power connector) somewhere on my Intel mobo? I had forgot to label this one.

I read somewhere and it says:
"The aux power cable was added to provide extra wattage to motherboards for 3.3 and 5 volts. This connector is rarely used. It occasionally shows up on older dual CPU AMD motherboards"
