like u said it depend on the preference ,,,,but slightly longer allowed u to cover and hold the sleeve for sure .... so good for beginner ..... thumbup.gif

for experience modder usually measures according to the thickness of the cables that u try to sleeve through ..... icon_rolleyes.gif

use more for thicker while shorter for slimmer ..

I'm of the long heatshrink school of thought too. I do it with long heatshrink with a ziptie underneath. That's the only way it'll stay nice n tight if ure the type who always messes with ure hardware n always install, remove stuff. I used to do the short style but it always comes off in the end coz I'm always playing around with my wiring. So it really depends, if u do it once n stop messing with ure rig for years then yeah short is nice. But I seriously doubt many fellas here r like that. After all this is the section for bekside itchy modders like us who never leave things alone. laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

Hehehe. Yes I do. I've changed 4 mobos, 4graphics cards, 3 PSUs, 3-4 HSFs in the past 1 year alone. I'm a harware changing maniac. laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif
I also constantly play around with the wiring, thinking up n trying new ways of hiding as many wires as possible.

The heatshrink tubing I use is Hong Sheng brand from electronics shops.

always wanted ato try new ideas and ways .... but too bad never got the time due to heavy study load and low budget issues....guess like many of others....

how often most people could change their stuff as often as u men ... so envy of you ....

Heat shrink tubing (or commonly "heat shrink") is a thin tube which shrinks in diameter when heated. Heat shrink is used to insulate wires, connections and terminals in Electrical Engineering. It can also be used to repair wires, bundle wires together, and to protect wires or small parts from minor abrasion. wink.gif (wiki!)

bbs,if i remembered big bang sales sweat.gif ->BBS 5

Vantec,Makers of cpu coolers, fan cards, cables, DC brushless fans, and more. cool.gif ->Vantec's website

other than the forums,try going shop to shops thumbup.gif

but i often go to modernopc.com for modding stuffs rclxms.gif
