Found this thread, so I feel like sharing my better street shots. Please criticise if need to, because I am very new.
I have developed the love of shooting in the streets because of the magic of things being candid; the streets will surprise you every time you set foot on it, and the streets is also the place where people of all background, who have no acquaintance with one another, group together, and capturing street moments will also capture the heart and soul of a society.
I am using NEX-5N with a variety of legacy lenses, like a Canon FD 50mm f1.8, a Makinon MD 135mm f2.8, a Contax Yashica 50mm f1.7 and a Contax G 45mm f2. Most of these shots are shot with the Canon as I am not in KL at the moment. Will be arranged chronologically. Thanks!

Sometimes I think that's psychology and that people on the street don't really know or notice that the camera stuck to the face is a D4, 600D or X100.

But yeah... bringing the dslr out sure's hell heavy though.

im using X100, so its 35mm

If im u, i dont see how the lens limit you. you can still shoot street with 75mm (50mmx1.5) and get good street photography.

Unless you need the lens, else buying another 35mm just for street will not be ideal. I would rather you spend money on camera like Sony RX100 etc

i think another main reason why not prefer DSLR is security concern. Having a DSLR is like come and rope me please kind of message.

Smaller camera will allow discreet and faster movearound and less tired.

Also, you will shoot quicker with smaller camera. subject will be more coorperative too. Most will shy away from DSLR

TTT very sad pictures u have there.

Anyway, X100s worth the upgrade from X100, i'll leave the technical review to all the master out there, but a small fry like me, i find X100s is most suitable for street photography. For everything else, the focal length might be a hindrance for many. Aside from the focal length, its a very powerful device with a small form factor.

In short. Its a fun camera to use.

which pic u mean sad? that old folk?
