Yes, they have tightened up. Guys, you all have to remember, besides annual income, for those earning RM36K or less, one can only hold credit cards from 2 different banks. If you guys don't pay income tax, straight away I will conclude it means you earn less than RM36K/year. So, I would think for those having more than cards from 2 different banks and have BE form to proof your income is more than RM36K, than not an issue.

Complained this on last night on FB MBB,after that gave my number. Just received a call from MBB and they said they will investigate this issue which is their staff treat me un-politely. I waiting to know his name and wanna go back and shoot him.

1.6k monthly, you won't get any issuers to approve you. It'll come to <20k per annum...

I think MBB Customer Complaint Team (whatever u call it) is really doing their job.
I complaint an MBB front desk staff for asking me to go back and photocopy my IC.
Hello ! I came here to give you business u know? This is the way MBB treats customer ?

Due to urgency, I followed his instruction and furnished a photocopy of my IC and opened a basic SA.
Immediately after that, I went back home and filed a complaint. I did not jot down his name but I mentioned time&date. I received call within 5 minutes and they promised to investigate on this matter. Most important thing is, they agree that the staff MUST NOT ASK CUSTOMER TO PHOTOCOPY IC ON THEIR OWN if the customer did not provide one. So I knew I was right.

A few months later I was at there again. The man seemed to remember my face

But which outsider will take all the risk of giving you a supp card without knowing you?

Yah, they should photocopy our IC, where got people bring photocopy of IC to bank for opening account or applying for credit card. The person who asked you to go photostat your IC must be thinking he is working in a government department.

haha.. i have similar experience with OCBC but on the phone though.
they want to verify again my salary, and that time my basic was slightly lower than the required salary.

on the phone she said "so your basic is xxxx only?"



so i answered yes, although i have fixed allowance of 1k+, i didn't say much about it after that. they give, then give lo.. dont want to give, nvm

Me? I just newly apply. Use the card two months only. Not sure right now if they tighten the requirement. If debts are clean should be no problem to apply.
