I have one question.

Is it possible to terminate debit cards and still maintain the account? I plan to use scb just one debit card. No annual fee and free withdrawal at all meps atms

Yes. Still using wise if i want to have gbp then transferred to my monzo account for gbp usage. That one's for cash only. But I'm not really into transferring here and there with the wise account. Prefer credit card as it's more hassle free plus security plus i kind of like with the 8x points. Been accumulating more than 500k points for several months of usage now.

Any better Cc option for foreign use?  notworthy.gif

The points that you accumulate is a lot less than the astronomical charges that UOB had added to your fx transactions.

Best Debit Card for fx use: SCB Jumpstart
Best Credit card for fx use : Hong Leong I'm Card

Both of these have zero fx markup. No other benefits

I saw gxbank USD charges different than XE. XE was 4.71, GXbank charge 4.74. I need to test further.

That's interesting. Let us know your finding.

As always we can't really trust these banks. Need to test on our own

Just like Maybank MAE zero foreign markup, but in actuality still got charge.

anyone try the mbb currency conversion? how was the rate? my friend comment not good

I don't trust maybank on currency conversion. Previously it mentioned zero conversion charge on mae account, but end up still got charge, this new account must be similar.
