Hey I need to ask how do you apply this NexG if you're 17 years old. I went to the website and read on how to apply but not sure cause I'm underage not knowing does is it apply the same to me? What I need to bring besides I/C and money to deposit at 1st? Parents signature?

-sorry If I'd annoyed anyone for this question icon_rolleyes.gif

Why even bother with this debit card you mentioned when there are so many better alternatives out there ? biggrin.gif

Do check out Public Bank Day2Day VISA debit card or Public Bank ESSO VISA debit card (this one doesn't have annual fee). Or you can check out Maybank VISA debit card. And as you are still under 18, you will need either one of your parents to go to the bank with you as there will be a few consent forms that they need to sign on before the bank can issue you the debit card.

Went to Singapore to watch movie,
when buy ticket, if use UOB credit card can get discount.
So, i ask the guy in ticket counter, "can i use Malaysia's UOB debit card?"
and so he sweep my card, it cost S$10.5.
after few days check my UOB account, and the online banking shows a transaction of RM26.13 which is about 2.489 exchange rate.
(Just wanted to share my experience of buying cinema ticket using UOB debit card in Singapore.)

I know that generally debit card can't be used for installment plans. But then I saw this
http://www.pbebank.com/en/en_content/images/ziip.pdf
I was so confused, if really as mentioned, what are the merchants that I can use debit card for installments?

Yeah, Maybe 3-4 Years ago... still Remember that, I used to Purchase Air Tickets with my Citibank Debit card, Renew My National Geographic Membership or Pay My Reader's Digest Installment by Using Maybank Visa Debit card, But Now Not Anymore... doh.gif

Nowadays, Most of the Bank / Merchants X Accept Debit Card for Installment Plan... sweat.gif
Maybe Yes to Public Bank Debit Card, but Not Sure With Maybank Debit Card whether still can Use for Installment Plan ... hmm.gif

Btw, You can Call Bank's Customer Service to Check with Them...

1). I'm curious.. I own a CIMB Bank Youth Savers account and with it, I have a CIMB Debit Card (Mastercard), the 18+. Can I use the CIMB Debit card for online transaction or to register with my paypal? I understand I can't top up paypal with CIMB clicks but Paypal can directly credit or debit my CIMB mastercard.

Also, If I can add my CIMB card to paypal how do I view the 4 digit Authorization code on CIMB clicks? Do I have to call the bank or I can view em on CIMB clicks website (If yes, under which section)?

If I can't.. Is there an alternative like for example.. transfer money on CIMB clicks to other online payment provider? Um like CIMB Clicks -> WebMoney -> Paypal?

EDITED:
The code will be sent directly to your phone (The 4 digit authorization code) once you've entered your CIMB Debit Card, no need to call the bank for verification. I hope this simple answer will help other users who are curious by the nature of registering with paypal.

You can't top up your Paypal account with CIMB Clicks as the top up method is only available to RHB Bank Users. What they will do is, they'll charge any transaction directly from your Bank account (via your debit card).

EDITED (2):
Confirmed, You can now to any online transaction with your CIMB Debit Card via Paypal. Paypal will charge directly from your card.

Citibank branch is limited. Every time withdraw money, citibank makan few ringgit.
if not traveling much, local bank debit card is good enough.

I do get that sometimes...for my case..it's maybank's fault...they don't allow more than 1 transaction for PayPal a day..which sucks..if you want more..you need to call them to allow multiple transaction..and it's only for that day only..
