Standard charter jumpstart. Make sure to always pay in the country currency and not in ringgit. If you pay in ringgit, they will use PayPal conversion rate which is very lousy.

How to know?
Every campaign different amount, different Cashback amount.

Better spend it on the first day, LOCAL TIME (may backdate to earlier day, eg Swipe card in London at Malaysia Time 1am, 1 May the transaction date is 30 April)

I think it's worth a gamble. Only the very 高人 know how to "spend". Not many of them.

If I booked a hotel room on Agoda with the foreign currency, would it be considered eligible? Thanks

I don't have the answer, but...

(1) Foreign currency, not RM.
(2) Not AGODA...MY, can be AGODA...SG, ...ES etc. beyond your control.
(3) Not sure the payment will be online transaction or direct debit, because it won't be verified by PB SecureSign or OTP.
If I am not wrong, Direct debit is one of the exclusions

At your own risk.

I see your points. Foreign currency should be no problem because its for hotel overseas and I can choose the currency for that country (Japan). Direct debit can be overcome too if I choose "Pay Now" and key in the card details (will force SecureSign verification). I am not sure about no.2 tho, my previous payment with GX card showed only Agoda.com.

If some sifus can share the success story with Agoda on this or similar campaign with PB debit cards, will be much appreciated as these campaigns (reward for spend overseas) are quite regular. smile.gif

yes indeed.
and the worst thing is there no option for you to opt out.
for eg. maybank which is very kind to offer an option for you to choose no annual fee but limited time of cash withdrawal (4 times per month), subsequent RM0.50/withdrawal.
